Thank you for sharing this recipe! It is amazing how food can tie us to family & memories. My dear father in law who passed away in Feb loved rhubarb. One year, I made mini strawberry-rhubarb hand pies to take to him. I regret that I bought rhubarb on more than one occasion and let it spoil. I used to be intimidated by pies, but no longer am. Thankfully, I did make another favorite of his...apple pie. He had it Thanksgiving and told me it reminded him of his mom baking in the kitchen. I will try to hold that dear rather than focusing on the fact I did not get the other pie made. You are so gifted not only in your ability to create beautiful foods, but the way you style them. You are helping others create for their families and I love that. Keep shining God's light!
This is, bar none, the best pie making video I have ever seen! And rhubarb, though it is hard to get in Arizona, is one of my favorite pies. I am going to use this recipe and technique from now on. Thank you for sharing it!
I'm gonna give this a try. Thank you. Also thank you for cutting it, and cuttin out A BIG BITE , MUCH APPRECIATED. I wouldn't of tried it if you didn't cut it. I'll tell ya how it turned out . Later though .
Your rhubarb is red Mine our green with a little bit red on the skin. Is that because I planted them a year ago OR they are different types of rhubarb?
I need the precise measurements on everything please I am making it for a funeral benefit for my niece her dad loves rhubarb pies and I want to make them perfect if anyway possible
Hi Kari, the measurements are in the description. Make sure it’s fresh rhubarb that is more pink and red on the skin, and hearty. Follow precisely and let me know if you need anything else
