hi foodzizzles fam , here is a video on how to make sausage roll, Nigerian sausage roll, its easy and straight forward, below are the ingredients for the gala style and crispy style sausage roll.
ingredients for crispy sausage roll dough
2&1/2 cups of flour
125g butter (about 1 cup)
baking powder 1 tsp
sugar 3 tsp
milk 1/4 cup or less depends on the texture you have before adding your eggs
2 eggs
1/4 nutmeg
pinch of salt
note: keep in the fridge to cool for 15 min before cutting
this measurement makes 9 sausage roll, you can get more if you make slim sausages.
ingredients for gala style sausage roll dough
31/2 cups of flour
butter 125 g (about 1 cup)
baking powder 1/2 tsp
sugar 3 tsp
milk 1 cup
nutmeg 1/4 tsp
1 large egg
pinch of salt
this measurement makes 10 or more sausages depending on how thin you cut
ingredients for sausage filling
sausage 500g (use any sausage you like)
thyme 1/2 tsp
curry 1/2 tsp
garlic powder 1/2 tsp
black pepper 1/2 tsp
1 egg for egg wash and add 1/3 tsp of water to avoid the burnt brown look
