Hiiii!!! I just tried this recipe! I only used the recipe for the pastry because I used ready made hot dogs as filling and sardine filling as well. It turned out sooo good, my mom loves it. I haven’t tried it with bread flour and I don’t think I’ll like to take that risk because my guess is that the resulting pie will be heavy and not flaky.

Please why do you add sugar in a sausage dough? I thought since it's a sausage just like a fish pie or meat pie, there is no need for sugar. Also it's not buns or puff puff or chin chin. Wouldn't the obvious taste of sugar make it less of a sausage roll ? Also why did you you add bread crumbs to the meat filling? Can one use ground meat instead of sausage, what's the difference?...
Hey, Lola. I just tried making sausage rolls using the recipe on your blog. I think it is an old recipe from 4 years or so because there are lots of unanswered questions and missing steps. It didnt work out for me. Perhaps you should take a look at it and update the recipe. I will try this new recipe and let you know how it goes. Fyi ! I mean this all in the kindest way possible. I have tried a lot of your recipes, this is the first time it is not working for me. Blessings.
