I grew up drinking sea moss. It’s a traditional drink in Jamaica made with milk and/or condensed milk, nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon if you like, sugar to taste and a pinch of salt. I think some people add other things like almond essence. I’ve also used it in smoothies. It’s quite yummy. Thanks for the video
Amazing video Yaya, can i advise you something as a Caribbean person myself, when you soak your sea moss, especially if it's good quality the water that you used to soak it in you also use it to blend. Normally if it's soaked for 24 hours your water will be gooey, that sticky water holds a lot of nutrients and benefits from the sea moss itself and should be used also. I usually pour my sea moss without cutting it into small piece with that same water and blend, you get the best smoothest consistency ever! Also a seamoss and aloe vera (both homemade) body wash is my go too DIY project
Good day I know this is a very old video but when you soak your sea moss do you soak your sea moss in the refrigerator or do you leave it out to soak for 24 hours
I use to get mine from Jamaica, after blending I use it as is on my face and hair and the feel is amazing I also eat it in the morning to stop me from being hungry at work. Love your content
I've made a styling gel, using this and flaxseed gel mixed together. I may have to continue experimenting as I still need more hold for my 4c curls. I would love to see you try this mixture. Been using this for a few months now and it's the first time I'm pleased with the results.
Can I pour it into ice cube trays and pop the ice in my smoothies? I would also love to see how to use it on my face, bath and on my hair. Thank you!!❤
Hey Yaya I love watching your videos! 💕 And I am into the exact same thing as you when it comes to making DIY products and wondering if you offer classes maybe online or in person? Or if you have any recommendations on excellent education on DIY herbal health products.
I am afraid of metal poisoning, especially iodine. What is the best way to use it without harm? I am 38 years old and should I take it permanently? I want it because I have infections and a very weak immune system. What do you advise me?
Just make sure you order raw even if it is from Jamaica itself. Many of our food already cary negative poisonous bacteria this will help clear that. Take a chance and just try it. Even helped people recover after chemo. Do IT
After it set in the fridge, both batches were thicker were I needed a spoon. One thicker than the other. Thanks for the advice though, I may try it one of these days. 💜
I left mines out on the counter. However, I have heard of people refrigerating it during that time. It came out great though. No funny taste or smell. The instructions do not specify refrigerations until after the gel is made. I hope this helps. 💜
hi there. Mid next year I'm looking to make a product similar to olive oil professional incredibly rich oil moisturizing hair lotions ingredients. How much would you charge to help me with that product?
I like to put it in my fruit smoothies. I am sensitive to textures like apple sauce, so I have to mix it in something. You can also try it in your pasta sauce. You don’t taste it at all. It is really a matter of hiding the texture for me. 😊💜
I’m not sure if that’s a reputable company from the islands because there’s three islands that harvesters and all three of them give you instructions to use key limes or lemons whichever you have to cleanse your seamoss. Secondly your CMOS will not be translucent it was still have a sand color to it. Yeah I can’t rock with this one.
Hi! They do recommend lime on the package, but I opted out because I also wanted to use it for cosmetic purposes. The sea moss is not “see through”, translucent just means it’s not completely opaque. From the video, you can see that it is still beige or sand colored. However, as it soaks up the water, you can definitely tell the difference from when it was dried. I’ve seen other videos/pictures with a similar texture after it’s been soaked. I truly hope this helps. 💜
Hi! For the moment, I am just refrigerating it. However, when I test it with skin and hair care creations; I will be testing preservatives. If you are consuming it, I would recommend just putting it in the refrigerator. Especially if you are not familiar with preservatives for food. Food grade citric acid is one of the most common preservatives. I will test the pH of the sea moss when I work with it, but I am assuming it is alkaline. A preservative like citric acid may through off the benefits of sea moss for consumption as it is acidic. I hope this helps. 💜
I'm absolutely overwhelmed of how splendid and miraculously Dr Oriaghan on RU-vid channel he brought me hope when I lost it all I'm forever indebted to you doc
