This is a lovely idea for kids, I can imagine doing this with my nieces in future. I wondered why you use vinegar instead of slip - what are the advantages or disadvantages? I know clay is alkaline and so it reacts with the clay, and I'd worry it would disintegrate especially with groggy clay. But it does look neater. Edit: also wanted to ask about drying the little snowmen - did you have to wait until bone dry to fire?

Vinegar changes the viscosity of the clay and makes it sticky, I feel like I have less cracks working with vinegar, and it also works a bit cleaner. But working with slip can also work just fine :)
