This video was very helpful. I've been making rotlis since i was 15 but never learned to make the dough. Now I'm on my own and watched several videos to learn. Yours was the most helpful in making soft dough and soft rotlis. Thank you very much. Keep posting!
Hi.. You are the expert.. no doubt about it.. I do a small improvisation at home.. I've bought a medium heavy copper gauze (the ones used in chemistry labs for uniform heating of beakers) from a lab supply shop. This is placed above the grill and once heated, gives out uniform heat and the roti comes up nicely. Also, the flame can be turned down really low because copper is a great conductor of heat.. Saves gas too.. Thanks, maam..
Desi, thank you very much for this easy to follow video. I didn't understand anything you said but I now realize what I was doing wrong and why they weren't puffing up. You rock!!

Naseera Razack- Only this video does not have English subtitles. Rest all of my videos have subtitles and recently i started making videos in English only,I hope that will help people. For your question i can help..For Roti you just need to knead dough with wheat flour with water(little at a time). then let it rest for sometime. after that you need to roll and cook roti as shown in video.let me know if you need any further help.

Nonsense I just gave my comment ...you started telling all rubbish about my country. .. Dog eating festival is in China .... 90%of Indians are veggie. ...
It is easy to make soft phulka, however it is not easy to maintain the softness when the phulka is cold. If you use store bought Roti Flour (including multi grain), or use dalda or enough oil cold roties will be soft. Store bought Flour has some percentage of maida that gives the roties the softness. No store bought flour describes maida in ingredients to maintain their sales volume.
Yes finally I found a video with a stove like I have at home. Most of the videos are with gas stoves. I will definitely use the flat grill your using and I hope it helps me make better rotis Thank you sooo much
Thank you for teaching us to make this roti in such simple steps. My only grievence wz it wasn't explained in English....the universal language...but later on you were kind enough to answer a fan's query and give it in English Hope the rest of your wonderful recipes will be in English.
Kerima Hamid Thank you for kind words :) yes My recent videos are all in English. when i was making videos in Hindi that time as well i was adding English subtitles except for this one. I uploaded this video in ziffy and did not had clue that this video will be this much popular. That's the reason i did not add subtitles .I am planning to make another roti video in English but it will take some time. TC
Even though I didn't understand a word (due to me not speaking any indian languages), your demonstration was so good, that I could make delicious puff Rotis after just two tries. Thank you very much!
It is very nice, well cooked bread (indian roti). Tectfully you have completed the bread making process. After completing applying ghee (butter oil) certainly improved its nutritios value and off course taste.
