I make cakes and sell them and baby that oil is better than butter. I use Canola oil and it has my cakes extremely moist. And instead of water I do milk
Are you fricken kidding me!!! That cake looks amazing!!!! Oh man the little crunch with the richness of the cheesecake! YUM!!!! I'm proud to know what a crumb coat is but only because of your videos. You slammed it with this recipe!!! Thanks for another winner!
Your cake is lovely, I don't even want to know how many calories are in a slice! Since you asked let me share with you how to prep your pan for your cheesecake as I also have a Strawberry cake I made. First trace a circle of parchment paper the size of the pan you are using for your cake. Next measure the height (side) of your pan plus an inch. Use butter or cooking spray (without flour for cheesecake or with flour as this works for all kinds of batters) to prep the parchment paper to the bottom and sides of your pans, you may need to cut two pieces to wrap around the sides depending on the sides of your pans. When baked your cakes will come out great. You could also use a springform pan for your cheesecakes wrap the outside of the pan and then place the whole thing in a larger pan fill 3/4 way up the side of your pan for your water bath. I hope this helps. I bake my cheesecakes with or without a crust this way.🥰
Such a pretty cake! 😍 to fit parchment paper on the cake pan trace the pan onto the paper and you get a perfect bottom circle that fits, for the sides cut a lengthy rectangle strip to fit the circle and as wide as how tall the cake pan is! hope it makes sense!
Alexis this is beautiful 😍 Thank you so much for this recipe, you make it seem so easy. I'm definitely trying this. I always make cheesecake stuffed strawberries dipped in strawberry crumbles but always wanted to make the cake 🎂
The cake looks just like the Good humor strawberry shortcake ice cream bar, and that was one of my favorite ice cream bars I would get at the good human truck, my other one was the orange dreamsicle ice cream bar, I did a orange dreamsicle cheesecake for the holiday one year

now when you use the vanilla cookies to put on top did you use the regular vanilla cookies with a white icing, or did you use the vanilla cookies with the strawberry icing?
Hello I am a new subscriber to your channel I love cooking videos so I know I'm going to love your videos I've seen a lot of people use binder clips on the edges of their cake pans to hold the parchment paper down in place to keep it from rising back up
I so appreciate this video b/c I been wanting to do this but couldn't figure how. Does the butter from the crumbles have to be soft, room temp or frozen?
@@allthingsalexus thank you, I'm happy your Channel came up b/c not only did I learn what is used for the crumbles, your cheesecake recipe is 10x better than the one I had so thanks again. I also appreciate the one for the red velvet. I'm gonna continue to watch.
Hi Alexus, Your cakes are beautiful, but they are not standard 9" pans; can you share the different cake pan sizes for all of your layer cakes, like this strawberry cheesecake crunch cake, strawberry crumble cake, the red velvet, banana pudding cake, etc. If you could start including information like this in your recipes, it would help us all immensely. Thank you for understanding, Alexus.
For the parchment paper measure the outside circle of the pan onto the paper then cut it out, for the edges measure the length & width of the pan and cut a strip to use around the inside of the pan. But your a baker, there are several RU-vid videos showing you this technique. Hope it works for you.
Did you use all of the cake batter? I did and it overflowed! Luckily I thought to add a sheet pan under them! Just want to make sure for future bakes…..
EASIEST PARCHMENT PAPER METHOD: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rkp7GVYcpEY.htmlsi=vsZP8uLzFDUTPtfe Last night. I found the above video before making your cake. I have never baked a cheesecake, made a tiered cake or crumble/crunch, or used a springform pan. The listed video made the process so simple! From other videos and Pinterest posts, I have seen that box cake mix can be perfected by using whole milk or buttermilk instead of water. Equal amounts of butter can also be substituted for oil. To my surprise, my cheesecake came out flawless! I baked it at 350 then after 30 minutes I checked on it every 5 minutes and it was complete after a total of 50 minutes. I'm about to layer everything and icing it and I'm SUPER nervous. I have a Wilton cake lifter, rolling cake stand, a 24 pc icing tip set, and the same spatula that you have. I used golden Oreos instead of flour for the crumble and also doubled my recipe like you did. I will be trying your banana cream recipe next. No disrespect, but it's excess not access. Thanks for the video!
That looks so delicious and thanks for the tutorial it was such a lesson learned. Can I used a springform pan for the cheesecake? Also I know you said your pans was 8” is that the depth…thanks in advance for giving us such a detailed video.
