Hi fam,
I am finally making a "better" platformer tutorial series than my original one. I thought making it with Super Mario would be fun. This is the first part and 4 (I think). In this video I'll make a collision system for the game.

For some reason, when you jump, you can not move. How do i fix that?

I'm not sure why, but when I hop onto a platform, and jump off, I stay in the air.

you have to put the repeat block in the if block, then it should work

just change the size, you know the one beside the direction in bottom right, it wont get blurry (for me, atleast)

Wouldn't it be more efficient if you were to do it where the gravity is always decreasing, but you use a repeat until loop to make the player go up one pixel until it isn't touching the ground? If this is confusing, let me know.

yeah or you could move the player in small steps and when they collide move one pixel out of the wall this is more beneficial so you cant clip through walls at high speeds
