In this video I show you exactly how I built my cosplay prop axe from Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Free Template: drive.google.c... Instagram: / jax.cosplay Twitter: / brendan_jax_cos
Not sure if you'll be checking this older video but I just wanted to say, this is fantastic. I need to make a warhammer for a cosplay and this is the perfect instruction for a newbie! Thanks so much
Thank you, I'm sure yours will be awesome too. The black stuff at the end was just some black paint mixed with water, brushed on and mostly wiped off to make it look old and weathered.
I have looked at a number of videos regarding making foam axes and the majority attach the head to the handle by inserting some form of metal rod inside the foam whereas you insert the handle inside the axe head. I am a newbie first timer and wanted your opinion as which method of attaching the head to a wood axe handle would be easier.
I think both methods would work. The method I used worked pretty well and it's still holding together a few years later. I think for a wooden handle, you could make a hole in the foam axe head and insert the handle and glue in place. Hope this helps. 😁👍
Yeah sure, so for the base I used a basic black spray paint, and then for everything else I used standard acrylic paints, the brand I use here in South Africa is called Dala. The colours I used included silver and gold metallic, and then I mixed a custom turquoise colour using some blues, greens and yellows for the wood part of the axe. I hope that helps 😁😁
@@JaxCosplay thank you so much I'm going to be making one for my husband who love assassin's creed especially Valhalla this will make a great birthday gift so thank you for taking the time to make this video.
@@harlyheart1067 No problem, I'm glad this video could be helpful to you and I am sure your husband will love the one you make for him. I would love to see pictures of the one you make when you finish it 😁😁
