I haven’t tried it but recently Arkeus Pyralis made a very helpful suggestion in the comments for those who can’t find the cream of tartar. Per our conversation I’ve heard that you can substitute 1 tsp of tartar with 1 and 1/4 tsp of baking powder. I hope this will work 🙏 🥰
@@RountineswithMahrukh760 Sorry maybe I made it complicated with my substitute suggestion :) I don't know why didn't I say just yes 😁 YES, you can just skip the cream of tartar. For instance, check out my chocolate Turkish Delight Recipe ➡ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-szU4GMP66ns.html I didn't use cream of tartar on that one. Apparently, the cream of tartar prevents the delights from becoming moist after some time. Frankly, almost 3-4 days later I saw slight moistening with the chocolate Turkish Delight but it was still good ☺
Hello lady . Thank's for your's recipe's sweet . It's very easy and no take long time to preparing . Lady i have one question : i can putting cream milk sweet in this recipe . We like to know from whitch country you are . I am Lebanese from saida city .🌹👏🌹👏🌹
Hey, lots of love to Lebanon!❤ I'm Turkish, and living in Australia. I'm so happy to hear that you liked the recipe! 🥰 I didn't try adding milk to it. 🤔 If you are wondering how they make those original white sultan delights, they add Çöven Root foam to whiten the delights. It also adds its unique flavor to it. Homemade Sultan delights have become popular lately. It is not a Turkish delight, much more like a pudding dessert. You can check out the recipe from here ➡ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zUPWxDxQr2Y.html
@@vegetarian-feast . Thank's for your's letter . I loved your's country so much . I went your's country before 5 years ago it's very beautiful and the people they have white heart . But I would like to next time to Istanbul .🤝🌹🌷🥀🌻
How do you make this delight stretchy? ...... what is the stages, what can and cannot be done to make this delight stretchy? Can wheaten corn flour be used for this recipe? ..... what other flours can be used to make this delight stretchy?
Corn flour / Corn starch gives a stretchy texture. I haven’t tried it with wheat starch but yes as far as I know you can use wheat starch instead without a problem. They act almost the same. To make it stretchy, make sure to cook it for 30 to 40 minutes after you add all the syrup. Apparently, rice flour is used in some Turkish delights but it might require a different process. I hope you'll enjoy it 🥰
Thank you for your reply I just hv another question can I double the ingredients to make a larger batch it's my birthday soon and would like to make it.
@@Taniaval12 For sure you can double or triple the ingredients depending on the need. Btw, HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎉 I hope you'll have a lovely one and enjoy the delights 🌸
I was cooking the corn starch mixture on low and it took forever!! I put it on medium heat to speed up. I'm waiting for it to cool down before putting in fridge. You don't mention but do I leave it uncovered? Idk I hope it turns out I had to watch other vids😢
Bonjour, La crème de tartre est également connue sous le nom de bitartrate de potassium. Si vous ne le trouvez pas, vous pouvez remplacer 1 cuillère à café de tartre par 1 et 1/4 cuillère à café de levure chimique.
@@vegetarian-feast flour and starch are very distinct in their use and composition and do not act the same in cooking, but just in case I tested it anyway. Please at least change the recipe in the discription to clarify it being corn starch.
Thanks for the details. I normally write both names as “corn flour/ corn starch “ in my all recipe descriptions but I forgot to add on this one but as soon as I saw the misconception I already added it☺️ I’m a Turkish-Australian so in Turkey we specify wheat starch or corn starch. They act differently. In my early days of coming to Australia, once I asked starch at the supermarket and had a very awkward moment. Even though my husband is Australian and he understands when I say starch, the girl at the supermarket had an issue with it and short of a long story I ended up having a lecture about British and American English 😀 Since then I learned that in Australia it is called corn flour. Also once I found starch looks like noodles in a Syrian grocery store 🤔 It would be nice if you publicly explain those so that everyone can have an understanding. Btw I really don’t know why it is called corn flour in British, I would appreciate if you can explain the reason as well 🙏☺️ For the record I use corn starch/ corn flour in my recipes and will specify if I use different type of thickening agent 🥰 Cheers!
@@vegetarian-feast its a wide spread linguistic issue with multiple languages, both in English and Latvian a lot of people use it interchangeably. Probably stems from them just looking sort of similar so it's up to recipe makers to clarify. Hopefully using the separate words becomes popular to avoid confusion soon. Cheers and the recipe is great! Also found that you can substitute the 1 tsp of tartar with 1 and 1/4 tsp of baking powder since cream of tartar is very hard to find here in Latvia.
This is more like the Turkish delights i had back in the 90s maybe even 80s. all these other videos say you add rose water and they should be pink.... what?!?!?
