Final part showing how I built the new watertight side seats on my skiff!
This is something I wanted to do almost as soon as I launched her after the initial build.
It should provide a lot more comfort on low wind days as I don't like to sit on the floor.
Also it will add even more buoyancy to the boat in the event of a capsize as well as reducing the amount of water when swamped. Hopefully as the water movement when swamped will be now restricted in between the seats the skiff should be more stable while bailing out.
Spring will come and I will tested it! 😁
