Buy low mileage , or one that’s been maintained and has had consistent oil changes done since day 1 best way to avoid the bearings. And bearing failure already is rare as it is.
@@StolenE92 thanks for encouraging man. You think after grabbing one, sending in oil for analysis is what i should be doing ? In case anything already shows to maybe preemptively change the rod bearings ?
Regarding the high pressure and low presssure fuel pumps you say these should be upgraded when making more power well im not looking to do more than an muffler delete and intake on my n55 looking to keep it relatively stock just have some sound, would I still have to do the HPFP AND THE LPFP?
I just started building my entire engine because of the mindset of “oh well im tearing it apart might as well upgrade other stuff” and that just leads on and on so now new turbos + downpipes + alu radiator + all new gaskets + rod bearings + intake inlets. I love bmws no doubt but it has just been dragging on😂

It’s the best. It’s n54 engine with 2 turbos it’s much better for tune then n55 that stated in 2009. Before you buy make sure that injectors are index 12
@@StolenE92 it’s great too, especially if you are going to upgrade to a single turbo there is no difference. The only point is that you can make more HP with MHD tune without touching turbo. I’m with full stock white e93 second owner with 45k miles only 😂 literally feel like I must keep it stock
Good daily , low mileage , quick when full bolt on and reliable id say go for it , do oil changes every 4k miles after you get it every time she’ll last you a long time and make sure keep up on maintenance
