Hello, can you tell me what the actual Etsy fees are? I was told Etsy only charges .20 cents per item and its only charge to you once the item is purchase. I was not aware of a monthly fee or any other fees you have to paid. I’m thinking on starting on Etsy but so far I already encounter the first problem with them which is their support. The chat was useless, there no phone number and it’s been 4 days I have not received and answer to my email. I was trying to use a link to get the first 40 listings for free and it was not honor and haven’t been able to get help so it worries me, specially when I read in a comment of another of your vid show they were charged fee they didn’t agree to and so I’m wondering how do you resolve those issues if there’s no support?

i am just starting out, i have not made a sale yet. My biggest struggle would be the fear of it no being successful. i am new to your channel as of today and i have already learned so much so i am hoping i can buckle down and hit the ground running with this and be successful soon! This is why my friends and family don't have a clue I'm doing Etsy..I'm almost at my 10,000 revenue mark and they still don't know, I'm just not ready to tell anyone yet.

I have two shops. I started the first shop in late January and have a little over a hundred listings and the second shop in March with 80 listings. Between the two I have only one organic sale and around 12 sales from family and friends. It’s been very disappointing but I’m determined to persevere.

You have a good number of listings, but it takes Etsy a month or more to figure out exactly what you have and who to show it to. (This will be even more extreme for a new store as Etsy is trying to figure out your overall niche as well.) I have had a POD store for almost a year and a half. When I stopped working in my store and just let it run on autopilot, my number of views, favorites, and sales all dropped--even going into the holiday shopping season and even running Etsy ads. I turned the ads off (save 1) after Christmas and everything bottomed out. (I turned the last product ad off in March.) But I have been active in my shop almost every day since March. April was a low point, but May's views are back up to what they were when I still had one ad running and I'm getting as many sales as I did then. The only thing I've done differently is be active. So I know from my own experience that it takes months for Etsy to respond to things you change up. You just have to keep grinding and trust the process. Also, this is entering the slowest period in the shopping calendar. Now is when you really want to get listings up so Etsy has plenty of time to find them and figure them out ahead of the shopping season, which starts in September.

I've had like 450 favorites, only 35 sales in the first 4 months. I'm not sure why the favorites don't convert to sales. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Woah woah that’s amazing sales for your first few months! Don’t even pay attention to favorite like that! Use them to keep making more products that are similar to most favorites. It also means your product seo is great so note those things! Then perhaps adjust pricing if you think it may be too steep

Don't do it! I opened a shop to sell stuff I made, within a day it was suspended. Filed an appeal. Nothing. Contacted etsy for WEEKS, nothing. Decided screw etsy ill just close the shop and move on. Nope. They wouldnt let me close the shop without contacting etsy who hasnt responded for weeks already. I had to literally go to reddit before I found a way to talk to an actual person who was actually helpful but I'll tell you now it is just not worth the headache. Let's say you become a major shop, selling lots and making good money. What do you think will happen when suddenly you need support from etsy? 😂 Yall, do research on etsy first. Had I looked into what people, not "influencers" were actually saying about etsy, I would have NEVER even bothered.

That's normal. Etsy hasn't had time enough to figure out what your products are and your store niche. Also, you're in the slow season. Keep grinding and prepping for the end of the year.
