One of my fears is seeing all of these bigger top 0.1% sellers on Etsy get their shops shut down. What does that mean for me? Every time a big shop announces they got shut down, it really stops me in my tracks and unmotivates me. Luckily Etsy is just a side hustle and I still have my “normal” job, but still! My other fear is standing out amongst all of these other shops that seem to just purchase from who knows where and then resells dirt cheap. But you’re right, I gotta keep pushing through and don’t listen to the noise (the ones that aren’t useful to me, anyway).
I think with every business or job you take a risk, you could be let got from a stereotypical job tomorrow too! That’s why you should always diversify your income with multiple streams, save, and invest!
Hello, I have a quick question which I Hope you can answer to :) I opened my shop in 2021, sold 2/3 items and got a review then I stopped using Etsy. I started using it again months ago: I changed the title, got better graphic, I consistently work on it but get around 10/12 visits per day, sometimes even less than that. I sold a few things but it's usually 1 item per month. Do you think it could be because my shop was left unused for a long time? I tried everything, I dont get what I am doing wrong anf it's frustrating. Thank you in advance <3
I appreciate the “you don’t need a ton of listings” myth-busting. I recently opened a shop for a very niche hobby tool I invented and it’s literally the only thing I sell (although I’m slowly adding different colors).
I have given up on etsy. The lack of user friendliness for new sellers and the overall vibe of the community just put me off. Like, i just wanna make stuff and sell it. I don’t care about making a lot of money. So I don’t think it's for me.
Creating a listing daily even for digital is hard. İ am creating 20 design and then putting all of them on mock-up then upload them one by one then write title description and tags. İt takes so much time that it is not an easy work to do daily.
Thanks! I have only of e-commerce followers 🤦🏻♀️ a lot of them! And they are trying to sell their services to me. Also lots of bots that are selling bots followers.
Keywords in your title and description will help for sure and creating a marketing video content pushing to your products! Going live would also be great!
They need to be putting money into employees. Expecting us to go above and beyond with our customers while they can’t be bothered to deal with us the sellers. The ones that keep Etsy in business.
I do believe that having clear expectations and updates through announcements like this is a great way to prioritize their sellers. They are remaining transparent with updates and clarifying confusing rules and regulations. With growth comes change!

I haven't opened my shop yet, I doing wax melts and candles but can currently only afford 8 fragrance container ect ect ....I'm a senior trying to create Xtra $...
Start there then! If you have less products try photographing them in different ways and listing the same thing multiple times with new keywords and photos!
Just found your videos and channel and love the topics! My biggest struggle right now is just getting views and being seen. I guess I need SEO help. It's a struggle selling original art and prints and I've started included POD products.
With those types of products you need strong seo since the competition is higher! I’d highly recommend my SEO workbook to help with that! laurenheathcreative.thinkific.com/products/digital_downloads/etsy-seo-workbook
my #1 struggle has been getting more sales. I currently have over 1200 sales, doing between 30-50 sales a week, but to truly flourish I need to do 300-500 sales per week. This would be truly amazing numbers for me. I believe that if I keep with the program I can reach higher numbers. I lack in making new listings, i currently only have 29 listings that do very well.
Love this! ❤️ I’m a newbie in print-on-demand and discovered Crafted Threads. They offer so many designs for every niche, and the lifetime updates are a huge bonus!
My biggest struggle is consistency, being able to maintain focus and find the time to build my product offerings. (I work a full-time job in addition to having an Etsy shop).
Consistency can be exactly what you want it to be! Choose metrics that you’re able to stick to. Batch your work as much as you can and schedule and draft things!
Do you find one specific social media platform works better than others? Do you have a way to craft an OFF-LINE campaign for local engagement, effectively driving sales from the local community? #StyleCard
I find RU-vid and tik tok were my biggest social platforms to drive small business sales. An offline campaign for your local community could look like running ads in local publications, participating in markets or events, sponsoring local teams, collaborating with local brands, sending physical flyers, etc
Do you have tips about getting the star seller badge when the only part lacking for me is the tracked shipping. I sell stickers and use stamps and snail mail to send them so the orders don't have any kind of tracking number. To orders outside of Europe I can add the code from customs declarations. Also the etsy shipping labels are not available in my country....
Hello! I also sell stickers on Etsy. You are able to have your “snail mail” tracked via usps for the price of a stamp. Your label will print with a QR code in place of a stamp. When you go to fulfill your order… choose “USPS” Next where it says “package type”… click the drop down and choose “letter” (*NOT “package/thick envelope”) Select the weight of your letter(ounces) and then purchase the label. It will essentially be a stamp, but is a a QR code that prints in the top right of your label. If you mail them on time, you will surely get your star seller badge!
I think Etsy's star seller program has flaws. I have multiple stores, have sold on there for years. I have been a star seller in one of my shops constantly for a long time, until this month. I had 1 buyer who gave me a 4 star instead of a 5 because she liked my item but said it wasn't vintage as listed. Well unfortunately for me, that was her opinion, since I have the box the cards came in was clearly marked 1986. I didn't respond to her feedback as i didn't want to do a i said she said thing with her. I guess I could have messaged her but felt it would be the same thing. So unfortunately I lost that badge. Seems a bit unfair that someone is judged for 1 review after being constant for a very long time. TFS * L
As a matter of fact, you still can request a removal of that unjust review. I know that Etsy services nowadays listen to these kind of requests more often. Just do not give up and do what you do best 😊 Cheers!
Star seller is based on an average of all of your reviews for the month. If you have 19 5star reviews per month, you can take 1 1star review and still be okay.
