Thank you so much!! I don't have the money for glazing medium and was feeling kinda bummed so really appreciate this!! I am in love with Painting with Jane!! I'm going to do her abstract one before the Buddha and am so excited! I feel exactly like I did when I watched you draw faces....hey, I think I can do that!!! And I can draw faces and soon I'm going to be able to do a painting on a real canvas too!!!

I am sooooo slow so thanks for the tip about the water. Can we say brain fog-LOL. I'm so happy to hear you and Emily are doing a painting together. That's so awesome, even if neither of you share it I'm so excited for you both. What wonderful memories you're making. I love Jane. She does some great tutorials. I'm thinking of doing her choose your own adventure/painting series with some little ones this summer. I think they'll really like the choose your own part & I'll like that it's all sort of related to be able to help them. Anyways, back to your video. Thanks so much for this! Great things to try and play around with. I appreciate that you do these sorts of videos.

I need to get my hands on some Mod Podge. Apparently it can be used for just about anything. Thanks for sharing, Kelly.

Question: When I use ModPodge on journal pages, I find that the tackiness sticks the pages together... Does this still happen when ModPodge is used as a glazing medium?

Ugh I hate that I use wax paper inbetween and I don't know if it will still be sticky I will have to try it.

Hi Kelly, Thank-You for this Demo :) I watched your older Videos too ( I always do, I just enjoy them so much...) I am so slow when I paint, and I am always getting interrupted :( so I use a Wet Palette , it keeps everything moist for days...LOL..cause sometimes Days pass before I can get back to my work) I will put a Plastic Palette inside my Wet Palette it really keeps my paint from drying out. Do You use a Wet Palette ? TYFS I Love Your Demos :) Love you Big Much XOXOXO PS Sis, TY for the Love & Greatly appreciated Blessings...means the world to Me & my Family.

Yes! Thanks so much! Quick question, did you use matte mod podge or glossy? If not glossy, do you think it'd work? Thanks again!
@knittingandthings
@knittingandthings 8 лет назад
I used matte--here is the thing with glossy- it could dry clear and not let u layer on top BUT the matte paint u add in might be enough to not have that happen--i say try it on a small place and see--if u can layer on top U GOT IT!!!! TY so much and ty fo rwatching!!!!!

Kelly i made a background for an ATC but its a bit to vivid - detracting from the focal point. If I mix black acrylic paint with glue do you think it would tame the BG a bit? I don't want to lose the BG colors just dim them a bit...
@knittingandthings
@knittingandthings 8 лет назад
yes or even some white with the glue to calm the colors a bit

I think I'll just stick to the store bought stuff. Its not that expensive and I know that it works to my liking.

I have to say is you're suddenly aware of an alternative and before ever spending less than a dollar to try and yet you still need to comment and say you'll not try it then I am sorry but you seem so intentional that I wonder why you're even looking at someone's videos that are too teach, inspire and share and at this terrible time in the world the simplest comment that was not necessary just seems so so so unless and a waste is my time and her time and why didn't you just continue to but glaze and offer nothing into a video title" alternative to....." Maybe I'm in a mood maybe it's everyone dying and an idiot running the big mammal exhibit, but your comment just seems rude and the world wouldn't have spun off it's axis had you remained shushhh!!!!!!

Okay rant over, I found your channel by happy accident and I certainly thank you for all the videos trying to help us they this unprecedented time with limited access and certainly limited expendable income, I love your style and can't wait to discover who Jane is. Please continue to do what you do and I love your ability to blow off stupid people.
