Omg thank you so much for this, I live in Australia but my husband is Puerto Rican and I can't find adobo here unless I get it in from the US and it's super expensive!!
I followed this recipe for the sazón, but the only small change i made was instead of 1 1/2 of cumin, i did 1/2 of cumin becasue i'm not fond of that spice. I am amazed... I opened a pack of sazón and smelled it - you cannot tell the difference!! Thank you so much for the recipe! Now i can throw the rest of my sazón packets away. :D and i agree with Ida, food tastes better when you do it all with fresh ingredients with no preservatives or coloring.
I make my own homemade Adobo + Sazón mixture BUT I’ve been using the sazón packets and ever since this whole Goya fiasco recently I refuse to buy Goya Sazón or their competitors who also appear to be going up Trump’s fondillo.. so this video is an absolute blessing!! We need more Puerto Ricans out here like yourself putting out homemade Sazón variations out there 😘👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Ida I love your you have taught me so much, my husband is PR and he's from Vega baja and my mother in law has taught me a lot but she not here most of the time and too she had gotten older so I don't want to bother mommy as much because she needs her rest and no matter what she's going to assist even if she doesn't feel up to it. But finding your channel I have learned dishes that brings the taste of home to my husband. Thank You so much for letting us into your kitchen
I used your bistec encebollado recipe today. I make it weekly, because my husband and I are obsessed. Your channel is my go to for cooking PR food. Thank you for everything!
I am so glad to see you! You are one of my favorites! I love your recipes. I'm mexican and have 7 grandkids. Five of them are also Puerto Rican. They love both cultures food! Thank you.
Thank you for this. I make mine homemade. But I def trust your recipe and will be trying yours. Tried a few online and wow their recipes were not what we think of as adobo y sazon. Can’t wait to try your recipe for them
You’ve inspired me to make my own adobo and sazón again. I used to make my own years ago, then I got lazy 😞 . It’s so much better than all the stuff in the stores filled with MSG. Thanks!
I love the bottles I did get them at the dollar store too! I use it for my sugar for cafe at work 💞🇵🇷 . You are so smart I love your videos. I shared to everybody on my f/b
You’re my fav boricua!! Missed you so much and so glad for a new video and hope to see more soon, even updates of your same recipes and classics 🥰 thank you sooo much for always reaching us!
Thank you so much! I've been wanting to learn how to make homemade Amazon because the goya packaged one has msg & sodium & preservatives which is not good for you. Greatly appreciated
Si es Goya tiene que ser bueno. Never thought food would be mixed with politics. I haven’t used adobo in years I make my own but I still support Goya and Mr. Unanue. Hopefully this won’t go against community standards as I am expressing my opinion.
I just made it your Carne guisada and my husband gave it two thumbs up! Will be making these spice blends . I have been using Badia sazón completo for years and it’s excellent. #Goyaaway
WoW ! So good to see you ! Can you please do a updated recipe on sorullos with cheese ? Also can you bake them instead of fry them ? Do they taste the same ? Thank you
The other option is to get organic adobo which is non-irradiated. Most spices are irradiated. Frontier Co-op brand is top notch and they have other spices as well. I combine Organic adobo with Real Salt by Redmond, both found on Amazon, and food comes out delicious. Nothing like clean eating.
Thank you Aida! If someone has dried cilantro leaves can they use it in the Sazon instead of coriander? Would the amount be the same? Do you have any recipes for the Goya Recaito Jarred (recao green) sauce? Thanks again!
I was wondering today if you still post as I love your channel! Hope to see more recipes! There is a salami soup recipe I would love, not sure if you have it on your channel:)
They all look delicious, but (dumb question) why the grinder, the spices are already ground. Just asking, I just mix them all together and put them in the dish I'm making.
