Quick little "How To" make a simple trout spinner and how it's more affordable than the retail cost of pre-made spinners, specifically Panther Martin's, and you also have the pride knowing you made your own spinner.
Sure thing. I'll even give you the part numbers. The bodies, wire and blades I purchased through Jann's Netcraft. I have no affiliation with them...just where I get my gear. Bodies: 9/16" Long, 1/11 oz - Part # 310810 Blades: Size 5, Part # 310174 Open Eye Stainless Steel Wire Shafts: 4" .030 Dia Hooks (from Walmart): Eagle Claw "Lazer Sharp"; size 6 Beads - Some I've had an over abundance of from 20 years ago. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Glad you enjoyed. What I used wasn't a kit but rather parts that I picked up from Cabelas...essentially, made my own kit. Unfortunately, Cabelas doesn't carry the parts anymore that I use but they are available from Janns Net Craft. www.jannsnetcraft.com/
Fish04it just bought a killer kit off goosegrub on eBay it's a perfect match to my favorite panther Martin's, it comes with looped ended wire, which I like better but he will send this kind of wire if you ask
@NathanHolm Apologies for not responding. Totally missed this. To answer your question, it is the 9/16. Here's the item from Jann's Netcraft. Bodies: 9/16" Long, 1/11 oz - Part # 310810 I'm not affiliated with them, just where I ordered my supplies from. With regards to the bead, I honestly do not know. They were some beads that were given to me. Again, I apologize for not responding when you originally asked.
Hi Georgia! That is correct. The spinner I utilize is the same size as the Panter Martin #6. Considerably more affordable and something for my son and I to do together.
I have on occasion put black/brown lines on the blades but mainly go with Silver and Gold. Silver for cloudy days and gold for sunny days. Find it appears more realistic based on light. Could just be my theory but seems to work for me. Great question!
@HookThemBassTV - Good evening. The product in the video I ordered from Jann's Netcraft. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to let me know. Thanks for watching!
