i use the photoshop and lightroom and bridge pack from adobe its £10 a month if you want something that is free i think there is a program called Gimp sounds funny but thats its name ive heard people say its pretty good. there is also sony imaging edge which has the software aswell

hi Tim. the memory settings i never actually use. personally because i am always doing something different. and i just adjust the camera for each situation in hand. i know the memory options are there but in all the years ive used sony and konika minolta ive never used the memory recall. but for landscape id probably start with AFS wide iso100 and see what else you think you need. wildlife and birds pretty samely so afc wide but id experiment a bit and see what you tend to use normally as everyone is a little different. hope that helps

try doing a full reset of the camera ( reinitialization) that will recalibrate it other than that id say it may need to go for a service

@@sjm.photos Thanks for your response let’s hope a reset works if not it’s going through the nearest window it’s so frustrating.

@@ricedwards426 if not try a hairdryer warm the barrel and zoom ring up on full zoom and go in and out a load of times probably just some grease in there causeing a problem

one thing i dont do because it can cause corrupted cards is i never just delete photos and then carry on. every days shooting i copy that days work to the pc do the editing etc then when i put the card back in i always format it. i have never had a corrupt card but have seen people who have had them from just deleting images and then shooting more over a period of time. the only way to delete a group of images ie a burst shot of say 10 images you need to go to menu then the playback button menu then you have the option to have DISP CONT SHOOT GRP. this will show you a burst of images in the group you just shot say 10 images in a burst you can delete the group. or if you click in you can delet one image. but i would personaly very rarely delete images from the card as i have seen people in the past corrupt cards doing so. hope that helps
