How To Manually Clean Your Beer Lines With Beer Line Cleaner 

That was a great video, I am learning pub work, as I help out with glass collecting, and have helped in the cellar. Ive never came accross the rods before, they use caskwidge, a floating system, which you probably heard of, and when they line wash the ale pumps, theres two buckets, 1 is for line cleaner suction, and the other is for water, and the float is on the liquids, and when clean, goes back in the cask like you did with the rod. One day, I might try and come over, im Andrew Mckenna, from Chilwell, in Nottingham.

Great example of good cellar craft - thank you. Can now ally that to my one cask pump home bar.

Dam Simon you are very thorough. But I have suggestion, instead of using the same jug for cleaning fluid and then rinsing it to run clean water through your system, just get another jug and use that strictly for clean water, then there is no concern of cleaner contamination.

Really love your channel Simon, this video was very interesting, instructive and informative. I’m especially interested because I am learning how to clean the beer lines here in an RSL club in Australia.

Interesting video, I've anyways wondered how this was done. But you didn't mention how often this should be done. So how often?

I always use the purple line cleaner in mine u know its all clear then

cant you add food colouring to the water with the cleaning fluid so you can see when its come through the pipes instead of touching with your fingers? just a thought?

Question: Do you know if it's ok to connect a new keg for a busy event, where changing a barrel will be difficult, and reconnecting the nearly empty one after the event? Will the one that was half emptied during the event keep for another week or so? Thanks for the great content!

Surely it'd be better to have 2 separate containers, 1 for water only. Also, don't you rinse the rods off as they'll have cleaning fluid all over them.

I use ph paper it's much easier to tell and no burning fingers lol

Should be wearing gloves for that solution, my fingers have never been.the same since I was in the trade years ago....nowa days solution is colour so no need to touch it....always wear gloves and glasses...why arnt you fella, I know vid is old but hay...
