What I do is I fully fill the keg with star San and use it as sanitizer tank until empty. I clean fermenters etc with it. Once it kicks I know it’s 100% co2 inside.
As long as it’s pH stays below 3. And it can be pretty long (I’ve got a made up keg filled with star San that I use to my fermenters, it’s been made over 8 months and it still works like a charm)
I understand using the VWP, but your video doesn't explain at all what the Starsan is for. Isn't the VWP on its own enough: do we really need to do both ?
Some... 😉 About a table spoon usually, you can mix to the guidelines on the box/bottle but after a while you can get a good idea of the amount you need.
