How to Manually Install Custom Songs in Trombone Champ 

You should only need to install custom songs manually if for whatever reason the in-game song downloader isn't working for you. If you've never heard of the in-game song downloader, you're probably looking at the wrong tutorial! Go here instead: • How To Mod Trombone Ch...
Installing r2modman and mods is a prerequisite to this tutorial. See my other tutorial (above) if you haven't already.

If you're installing all of your custom songs manually, the only mods you need to have installed are Trombloader, BaboonaAPI, FSharp_Core, and Newtonsoft_Json. It's alright if you have more than that too, that's up to you!
If it's not working, be certain that you're extracting your custom songs into the right folder. If you have used the in-game song downloader, all of the songs you downloaded through that should be in the same place. If everything is installed in the default place and you are using the default r2modman profile, you can use this directory:
%AppData%
2modmanPlus-local\TromboneChamp\profiles\Default\BepInEx\CustomSongs
You can also get to this folder through r2modman by clicking Settings -› Browse Profile Folder and then in the window that pops up, open the BepInEx folder and then the CustomSongs folder.
