A Tool Assisted Trombone, or TAT for short. AutoToot mod by TomDotBat github.com/TomDotBat/AutoToot/ Circular Breathing mod by Christoffyw Original video: • 'Through the Fire and ... Trombone Champ Modding Discord: / discord
This is possible using the mods AutoToot by TomDotBat (github.com/TomDotBat/AutoToot/ ) and Circular Breathing by Christoffyw. Now you can hear all the mistakes I made when making this map. 👍
@@tako-sensei6072 Personally I’d love even more accurate maps because in its own way that’s almost funnier But yeah, either way it’s still hilarious Even the damn pitch bender can’t keep up with this map
Can triple vouch: my firstborn son is a trombone and i am married to a wonderful trombone wife. We are expecting a half trombone half human daughter soon
The fact that theres a circular breathing mod can only mean one thing: its only a matter of time before the 300000 note song that is in clone hero gets ported here, even If for only one pitch.
I don't know much about this game, but I think some of the notes might be overlapping, making it difficult to hit all the notes without making mistakes. I also thing there are some sections where it seems a bit too crowded with notes, but that's just my opinion.
@@JohnnyGF_ yeah I'm pretty sure that they do. Like a lot seem to overlap. Which of course adds to the fun of the chart being physically impossible to get totally correct.
@@socksygen also doesn’t help that a ton of the notes are just wrong. Like not even in the guitar parts that are hard to track or just fun to fuck with, but the melody just isn’t right lots of the time. Anyone who knows how the melody should sound will miss all of those without otherworldly discipline.
@@jobriq5 the pinned comment mentioned a mod he used to remove the breath meter. (Which matches, since I didn’t see the breath meter show up on any notes)
typical through the fire and flames song, being charted in a way that you are playing far more than is reasonably expected. in guitar hero you are basically playing the parts of 2 or 3 guitars and here you are expected to play the lyrics and the guitar parts. never ceases to overwhelm people. 10/10
Although this TAS run is fascinating, there was something special, something human about the original run. As we are all human, perhaps perfection is not preferable to error
While this was nice to listen to, the human version was fun all throughout the 7 minutes, I was enjoying it more. The desperate toots and the player tooting to the song playing in their head because the map was too fast was so good
4:47 dead from this point onward into all the solos, that started as just Super Mario Striker's Birdo's getting electrocuted (if you've never played it, search Super Mario Strikers Birdo Voice Clips and then 0:16) 😅😂😂😂
I'm always amused at the absolute insanity that gets ported into every rhythm game in existence, there are some out there for Clone Hero that I wouldn't even be able to reach 1% in lol.
I see that even with the circular breathing mod, it is still impossible to get a perfect because some notes overlap. I think I have devised a solution for this, however. *Clearly, we need a two trombones at once mod.*
@@Shizkeb Ok.... More likes means he/she is right I guess. XD If you say so. "Dragonforce is garbage now" Now? I again kinda agree bc I love their old stuff better.
I don't know the mechanics of the game, but instruments generally require a lead up before the note to drive the instrument. With a piano it's the hammer, a trombone air, a drum, ya know, the drumstick. It's that anticipation of a note that allows makes it on time. I don't think it'll help here, but quite rad you took the time to make a tat. I can't wait to see one of flight of the bumble bee.
the fact that the bot is having trouble and actually lost it streak just goes to show that this song is HARD! 2:16 , 4:10 , 4:19 , 4:22 , 4:30 , 5:28 , 5:31 , 6:07 , 6:09 , 7:13 - 7:17 are the times the bot is failing due to human error in the making of the map and or the difficulty of the reaction time that it responds to which is faster than it can react to.
I love how it still sounds off even when played right. Like the Trombone can replace no instrument, and no instrument can be replaced by trombone. Only really sounds good with pieces written for it.
If even the bot is failing to perfect run this then theres only one thing i can say. If you can play Through the fire and flames then you are officially a legend. In any instrument.
Every time I would get this exact same song from this exact same game in my recommended and every time the quality of the playthrough improved. I went from watching some dude fail miserably at life and breaking down to this absolute masterpiece, making my life complete. I suppose... my time is up. There is no better than a perfect score. One cannot improve anymore. It is my time to say farewell to the art that is this. Through Fire and Flames I shall go to meet you all again. See you on the other side.
The game has different samples for different notes, and then pitch shifts the note you play as you slide up and down, so it can sound pretty off if you go ham on it.
Also, this rendition of the song is made just to troll the player, since it has a slide too long to be made successfully, random extra and/or missing off-beat notes, gratuitous jumps across the screen just to fuck with you
For those wondering why even the bot can’t FC it, a big part of it is because the final vibrato lasts longer than the player’s breath meter. If somehow we developed tech to bypass this, there’s still the problem of some notes being so precise that they overlap. So even though the final vibrato can be done by playing on a higher speed, the overlapping notes that are barely possible on normal speed would absolutely become impossible. An additional part of this is just the way the bot is programmed. I’m sure it can be optimized to search for notes before the current one ends rather than searching for another note the frame the current note ends like it seems it does now.
Having arranged this for trombone for a section leader audition a few years ago Im surprised at how similar some of the parts ended up being (obv the solos were a bit different)
