Do you think I should try to main lil mac because I just started playing and I just switched from mario because he wasn't the best for me and I swapped to lil mac and I beat my friends main with absolutely no information with lil mac and i want to beat my other friend and I'm thinking of using lil mac so should I main lil mac?
@@TheBestName480 Little Mac is infamously regarded as a terrible character because he is an underdog in his character and game. If you want to main the Mac, I would highly suggest training and adapting to fighting mostly on the ground where Mac is most powerful at and try not to fight in the air often as those are Little Mac's greatest weaknesses. Unless you are willing to adapt to Little Mac's bad air game and try to get something out of it, then go for it at your own risk. Little Mac demands more skill than your average pick in Smash because of his underdog status. But once you master the Mac, you are going to wow a lot of people. Just like how Mac wowed a lot of people in his games.

Remember that after the 13.0 update, Mac's down angled fsmash was buffed to deal more damage. Remember to use it more to pressure shield than this video described.

There are a LOT of useful tips, for example, I kept losing to people who mash because instead of shielding into up smash I countered and it did way less damage in practice.
So basically what I'm hearing from this is that Mac has respected punches, is good at reading his opponent, and then taking advantage of knowing what they'll do. So basically like playing Punch-Out. Thank you Sakurai
If you ever try to counter an F-Smash (let's say as a last resort option), MAKE SURE you know the timing of that attack. You can jump in right as the opponent can no longer lond the F-Smash, which means that it will be released despite them wanting to hold it until the counter ends
Yoooo Bair usage? Nice. Glad more and more of his kit is getting proper utility opposed to ignoring it. Maybe one day the VODs of a Mac making us all look bad by dashing back n forth under a plat cause they're scared to press Y will be a distant memory
