✏️Today I have some great tips and my very own personal mining guide on how to easily progress down the mines without a struggle!
🐔Stardew Valley is an open-ended country-life RPG! You’ve inherited your grandfather’s old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home? It won’t be easy. Ever since Joja Corporation came to town, the old ways of life have all but disappeared. The community centre, once the town’s most vibrant hub of activity, now lies in shambles. When I got the quest that said "get to floor 40 or below" or smthing like that, I was horrified. Why? Because I didn't know you could use the lifts. I thought it would be an endurance run of 40 floors. I looked online for tips and of course no one said anything about the lifts because who would be so damn stupid as to not know about them? They literally 'ding' every five floors! People were talking about getting to floor 100 and I was so confused, impressed, terrified, and about just gave up on the game there and then. So relieved when I found out about the lifts. (I had known about the lifts, as in, I had seen them, but I just thought they reset every time you left the mines, so if you got to floor fifteen one day, then you could go back to floor ten, and then back to floor fifteen, but once you left the mines that day, you could not use the lift to do that again.

Sara McKinnon Same! I spent hours trying to figure out how I was suppose to get beyond floor 5. At first I thought I had to work at it continuously until I found out that the character literally collapses at 2am even though I had a full energy bar.

Awkward Mess are the lifts functioning as soon as you start the game? i thought they were broken at the start

@@yummysammich They don't work in the beginning, only after you get to level 5, then you can use them to go to the levels 5, 10, 15, etcetera. I didn't notice that until I played coop with my friends 😳😳

SAME the first time i saw the lift was my first time on the mine. I tried to use it but it wasn't working obviously as i hadn't even gotten to level 5. So i assumed they would never work unless i repaired them like the bridges and carts in the town. I started to avoid and hate mining bc i would sprint through the floors to get to level 10 max and then restart. I hated it i played like this for a month before finding they worked when my brother was trying the game out and asked me what it was. I was so annoyed when i realized they always worked

Yeah it's amazing how many people don't know that about the chests. You can place a chest inside of the desert mine too (using the trees outside for food if you need it). You can even place a chest inside of Clint's Blacksmith store next to the door to store excess stuff to save multiple trips home. You can even place a chest next to the minecart where the bus is parked as well.

I never thought of using chests in the mines! I'm going to start using them the next time I go mining. I must confess that I do go mining on bad luck days when I need to find more stone or coal or just want to increase my fighting experience. One time I increased my fighting level by 2 by going in the mine on the worst luck day.

Yeah chests in the mines are very useful! Bad luck days are still great for collecting resources :)

Not just mines though (like also the desert mine) but also inside of the Blacksmith's (Clint's) store and next to the minecart where the bus is parked and even a chest at the beach, near Willy's store (just not anywhere where he would walk though or it will get destroyed) - up near that green toxic looking barrel.

I rarely get good luck days so mining is very slow waiting for that. Sometimes my mining on goodluck days are worse.

I just started playing on the mobile version, and although the controls are a little different, your videos have been teaching me more about the game. I was addicted to the game all through year one, I’m now in summer of year two (only been playing for a week so far!), and I think I’m finally getting a little burnt out from it- I’m giving myself a two day break but watching RU-vid vids about it during the break. You and DF have been RU-vid go-tos. Just wish I could find more youtubers playing on mobile- there’s hardly any.

Kabir Mukherjee you can buy a better sword at the adventure’s guild and upgrade your pickaxe at the blacksmith’s to break stone faster.

Oh totally, getting hit 27 times trying to block an enemy to death is much stronger then swinging your sword a few times and killing it quickly. The one flying bug he showed has literally 1 hit point... Just one hit point!!!!

get your pickaxe upgraded (if possible) and buy a better sword (if possible ), use mega bombs and you'll be finde :D

That mine in the desert isn't meant to be easy. Most people use staircases to keep going down floors until they reach like level 100 then start mining for iridium ores and such. The first 50-60 or so levels are crap anyway. Take only food and your Galaxy Sword and Pickaxe and fill up the rest of your inventory with stone (you buy from Robin). Just keep making staircases until you run out of stone and yeah mine away normally from there on whatever level you end up on.

niceo I know... iI had to speedrun through it and then get to lvl 20 to be able to buy the better sword(forgot the name). Try using staircases( 99 stone ). They are very helpful

Tilling the soil makes such a difference. I found so much food that my energy was near full when I went home to go to sleep. Also I have found enemies before objects. Great video.

What A GREAT IDEA about bringing in chests into the mind. JUST LIKE DAGGERFALL, where i have my horse parked outside the mine. so i can load up my stuff onto the 'storage" beast or chest and take a lot of stuff out. Skyrim has this with the "Convenient Horses" mod. This almost makes me want to start my game over.

He doesn't warn you, Laval Eels are a pain in the hut to catch and you'll only find like 5-7 a day in my experience. You'll get way more trash but keep it, especially the news paper. Put it into the recycling bin and you might get some cloth from it. You need that cloth to finish the community center or you could sell it for like 470 bucks.

One thing you got wrong is that Fire Crystals are more profitable than Diamonds with the Crystalarium. Even taking into account the time difference to create a Fire Crystal vs. a Diamond, the latter is still more profitable by about 40g on a per day basis.

I build my mine it into a base. I fill it with furnaces chests and whatever else I need. When I'm grinding I will use the furnaces to smelt. I keep all my geodes and one chest. Since the mine carts provides me with quick access to Clint's. I feel another chest with food. Then just keep upgrading it from there.

I hit level 80 and I seem to be really struggling. I have one of the better swords I can get at the moment (the bone sword), but I loose health so fast. These tips really did help, though. Especially the cheese ^^

yeah, it sounds like the MINES are a LOT MORE FUN, than most of the rest of the game!! You could make a whole game just one the player fighting and exploring the mines!!

Take 50 to 250 stone with you so that if you need to create stair Downs to get those last few floors to save your elevator when you only have an hour or so left do it

I'm late, Hope you're still looking for an answer. Try the Stardew Valley wiki. Then select mines. There is a great table of the mine floors. It tells you where to find lots and lots of copper, iron or gold ore. For maximum profit: search for the mushroom floor, then revisit that floor all day long. Sell the mushrooms for great profit afterwards. If the floor happens to be right below an elevator floor, it's the best opportunity to make tons of money.
