The perfect way to deal with that is learning to rewire your mind and thought process. It'll be a struggle to keep believing it at times, had to break up with my ex cause she made my new believe system crumble, but it's worth putting your time and energy into it.

Yeah idk how to do that but I know I have buried memories from childhood with my dad and recently unlocked a couple memories that I locked up idk how long ago but was a powerful experience remembering why I still feel numb to my dad and in past years wasn’t sure if I was being rational since I couldn’t think of any memories with him. Felt nice to remember the truth or what my brain remembered as a truth.

Truth makes it easier. Face the truth and make peace with it. Let go of self hatred and learned helplessness.The world is much bigger than you are and you will never ever completely change or control it. The world will change and control you. You can only beat yourself and others up so much before you implode. You must accept that life is much bigger than you are. Really, you have limited control. Control what you can. You can only control yourself, not others. Repeat that mantra every day and avoid people you feel are negative and hurtful. Refuse to accept what hateful people say about you. Refuse to accept their bullying. It takes courage and strength that you have to work on every day. When you ignore bullies, they often go to someone else. Their power is taking your peace of mind and forcing you to submit. Remember that. Refuse to accept opinions and actions of people who hate you. Therapy can help with this, if you feel you need help and affirmation.

I worked with a friend many years ago. Sheila asked how I was feeling. I said something like, "Not too well, I'm rather depressed." She asked, would you rather be happy? I thought it a silly question, "of course" I said. "Well then just be happy!" I thought her out of her mind, but she was right! I enjoy everyday now.

This is such excellent guidance Not always easy to do by any means but makes you stronger in the long term. I believe that you cannot always control the emotions you experience, however, you can be in control of how long you dwell on the negative states of mind. It really is about regaining control when you are in an emotional pickle. Love the advice about posture; sometimes it really is possible to feel better if you try a smile when you least feel like it
@Soulvale88
@Soulvale88 5 лет назад
Disciplining your emotions is a skill and a good one at that, but saying you CHOOSE how to feel is asinine. Tell that to people that suffer from depression due to chemical imbalance in the brain. To me emotional discipline is learning to function at your best despite how you may feel due to circumstances beyond your control.

Thank you. I needed this. Yesterday I let my emotions get the better of me. I arrived at my patient's home. I have 15 minutes to get her (5 yo) out the door to go school. Dad was asleep on the couch in his underwear 🤢🤮. Mom asleep in her bedroom Patient not up and ready. Found her tube feeding was opened and spilled all over her bed. I got her up. Took her to mom's room. Mom AWAKE playing on her phone. Informed mom patient not up. She starts yelling at dad. I hand them their daughter while I fixed her morning meds and lunch box for the school day. Mom still berating dad. By this time im sitting on couch giving patient her meds. Felt bad for dad because mom STILL yelling at him. I whispered telling him its not all HIS fault imply its mom's fault too. No parent was around once we w we re ready to go to school so we left. She had a great day at school. Once shift was over, on my way home the office called me to inform me the mom had called in to complain about me. Now I have to start my shift like I don't know and am not irritated that patient's mom was trying to get me in trouble. I need to do better. I need to be better. How can I do this?

Yes, of course its probably unlikely but there is no such thing or reason that can’t be impossible to do... although its inappropriate especially since were objecting about a life-loss here... Obviously, when there is a relative or family loss... you obviously will feel in deep sorrow... but that doesnt mean that you can’t change that... what if the member that died was a serial killer? That’s one of the possibilities (again, its highly unlikely for this to happen) that your emotion might possibly change

Emotions can make you feel like you can float when positive, or sink when negative. When I'm feeling negative I try to calm myself before I let it master my actions. When I'm feeling positive I try to enhance it and let it ride. Life is far too short to be miserable, or to make others miserable around you.

Mental illness is tough and impossible at worst. The truly mentally ill are not capable of rational thought and cannot be cured. They must be avoided or dealt with properly. It is a gift being able to safely deal with the mentally ill.
@falconbritt5461
@falconbritt5461 3 года назад
@@ganymeade5151 There are very very few people with the "mentally ill" label who cannot be significantly improved through energy healing and proper nutrient deficit identification and remediation. Commonalities are being discovered at the micronutrient level and even in regular vitamins and minerals they are short on. Energy healing also removes trauma imprints from their auric fields, which allows their body to sort out the emotional and mental response patterns. It is a common illusion is that "the truly mentally ill are not capable of rational thought and cannot be cured" and they may not get great results from mainstream medicine, for sure - but when functional medicine doctors correct the underlying nutrient deficits and toxins that need removal, then the energy healers clear their bioenergetic fields of trauma, clear out their chakras to flow correctly, and other energy body issues, the same people will not be recognized by others as even having "a mental illness" because they are so normal. These labels and beliefs about the nature of mental illness will be obsolete within a decade or two in light of what we are now discovering.

Edit: Also, thinking about your emotion makes you more positive. Wait, what, it doesn't? No it doesn't. NONONO! That's wrong!" Another Edit: Somebody ran over my dog. I felt sad. @Matt Ludwig of course how you deal with anything in life is what's matters most along with perspective though you gotta be realistic in this life, there's a lot to deal with so we can't always expect it to be perfect. Besides having expectations that are unreal is a sure way for people to be let down. Nobody is born with instructions but I do believe we can figure things out for ourself and write our own guidelines, overcome and leave a legacy behind that is fulfilling and has meaning, something that adds and leads to greatness in this world.

The statement "You choose how you feel" is far too unhealthy. Life happens, shit happens. And there are things you just can't help but feel. I can easily see someone beating themselves for feeling bad over something terrible that they absolutely had no control over. So no. You don't choose how you feel. You can let go of shit when it comes to trivial things. But that would be impossible in certain occasions. So screw that idea. One can only do so much, and that's okay. It's okay to feel what you feel for how long it takes. Shit happens. Give yourself the time needed to process it. You do not and cannot choose those emotions, but you can cope. -not to be confused with not trying to rationalize things and sulk deliberately. We can always clarify things in our head and make ourselves feel better. So do that if it's possible. But if the situation makes it impossible, then feel whatever needs to be felt for how long it needs to be felt. It's ok.

Very well stated. Very precise. We are completely in control of our lives, up to the point where the magnitude of an event is overpowering and we must be carried along with it until regaining self control is possible. No one can make us feel bad if we don't allow it. We are responsible for our own actions and will not empower any other with control over our happiness, excepting those persons we have chosen to align our lifepath with.
