So here is a quick guide about how to activate Istanbul card in 2022 by connecting your Hes Code to it(Hayat Eve Sığar). Passengers will not be allowed to use any public transportation without HES code( Life Fits into Home ), according to new restrictions in Turkey, and getting a HES code won't be enough. People need to link Istanbul card to hes code, starting from 15 of January 2021.

Hi! Ever since I try entering the website to pair HES code with my Istanbul Kart, the website is out of service. "Kimlik Bilgileri Hes Kodu bilgileri ile uyuşmamaktadır" --> I don't get this, the entire website is out of service. I tried on different devices, when I was inside Turkey, outside Turkey, I tried anything. But it's just never working. So far, I had no other option then to use single metro tickets which is so annoying. Could you help?

Hi Marre, The website is working, i checked now. “Kimlik bilgileri HES Kodu bilgileri ile uyuşmamaktadır” means that your HES code or istanbul kart number was entered wrong. it also happens if you try to use a used istanbulkart. İf you use the HES code on your entry form and brand new istanbulkart, it should be matched easily.

We received many messages from people about that they get error message when they try to match Istanbul Card with the Hes Code which came with Entry Form. If you are getting an error message saying "Kimlik Bilgileri Hes Kodu bilgileri ile uyuşmamaktadır" which means "Credentials do not match with HES Code information", that means the HES Code you get on the Entry Form is not working. You should get yourself a New HES code by following the SMS method on www.turkeytraveljournal.com/how-to-get-hes-code-for-foreigners/ You can easily match Istanbul Card with HES code after that. Another thing is that the government has extended PCR test requirement until 31st of May 2021.

I some countries, it's not allowed to enter to website www.kisisellestirme.istanbulkart.istanbul unfortunately. You can do it once you enter Turkish Soils.

Hi. You will need to fill an entry form before you arrive. And the system will assign you a new HES code anyway.

If you have istanbulkart for public transportation, you don’t need to match the HES code and the card again. It should work

If you will use private services in Istanbul such as limousine service, airport pick up etc, you don't need Istanbulkart.

what if i am a turkish citizen living abroad and don't have a turkish telephone number? They didn't think about that! So basically I am royally screwed by this incompetence

Yes, If you choose Turkish Citizen on the website, then you must provide a Turkish mobile number.

The website for pairing is blocked I wonder if its something to do with my location that it needs to be done in Turkey once I get there? I tried safari, google and chrome its still blocked.
