Absolutely I can't agree more!!! Building those attributes has helped me more than any number of drills in the military did or any other practice I've done. Adaptability is always the strongest tool. It's why our species is here at all. We need to embrace that adaptability that got us here!

If the "infinite mind set" way of thinking could be implemented in kindergartens & schools, where our children mostly meet and get used to the "final mind set", the world would quickly become a better place to live. It is much more effective always to work on the cause than to treat the consequences. The one thing I tell my kids you can always count on is change once you get use to that life will be easy. I remember at the meeting for my son at his school early 2020 stating what if schools close ? They responded... That will never happen. Throughout my sons academic years (Special Ed due to his disability ED) he has first hand experienced the flex in the once believed ridged rules our society had created , at one point they offered ... Go to school 1 week and we'll give you a work permit one month and we'll pay for your drivers training course.. This didnt even require perfect attendance he could miss one of the five days and occasionally be late. I exclaimed to my son take the deal what are you holding out for...? Them to pay you.? Simon I thrive when I here your talks. People like you motivate others to do the same .. SHINE AND BE OUR BEST Im just a single struggling mother who is motivated toward grandiose ideas for change in education and juvenile justice reform. I cannot ignore the cry of our children, whose voices have not been heard. Im restless to know the name of a boy who's story I cannot forget . He was in placement with my son and went AWOL ...only to go home and committed suicide... Our system which has 2 reports for situations like this for children in there care ..one public the other for the agency's purpose.has failed. I often question why the other kids were told about his death it seemed with out purpose... None other than to plant a seed of despair but with that same seed exactly the opposite was to be. Sparked and it fueled a passion for me to grow and understand ... Advocate. I wont let his death be for nothing, forgotten.... brushed under the rug and wont remain idle as this broken system could potentially harm even more of our children. Simon please help me to understand, fix and be the voice of those the juvenile justice system has silenced and hidden from the publics knowledge . I also encourage like minded people to join efforts and be the roots of change we are in need of

As an autistic guy, its more important for me to feel safe and secure than for others. How can I accomplish that in a time of insecurity, while embracing the infinite mindset? Or to put it in another way, how do you stay at peace and flexible when all hell breaks loose?

You can't make anyone trust you and you can't make anyone like you - some people will trust and like the very same things that others will hate, which typically stem from core values. This is sometimes a hard one to negotiate. Learn to know the limits of what you can live with and the limits of what you refuse to give in to...

People are works in progress, there is zero chance we can 'fully adapt' or know how we will adapt to say: a pandemic. We can ' know' things, i.e. have training in emergency situations but may still completely under the pressure in that moment. There are too many variables in life to ' teach ' adaptation. God, on the other hand is not fallible, or limited by humanness. I can rely on His ' infinite sovereignty. '
