U can also make it a square at the radius on the left side and add it to the right side after measure the left ...add the half square on the left side to the right side

If it's just a simple overlay than this works. However, if you are doing something virgin....waaaay to many variables to simply do it by square foot. Even simple overlays can be tricky depending on thier condition.

Good stuff my man! I was wondering if you were going to address the flare (radius) at 'the street entry points' (often driveway entrances). I just Googled "driveway estimating sheet' and something came up that called 'flares' 'Fillets' and had a funky calculation (compared to a triangle)!? **** Shapes: Rectangle Triangle Circle Half Circle Fillet Shape A, ft. B, ft. "Area, Sq. Ft." Triangle 10 10 50 Fillet 10 10 21.5 **** Google Earth often has you stuck with views that are less than decent. I've found that the aerial view from 2017, more often than not, removes 'the leaves' and provides the cleanest view. Google Earth can get pretty inaccurate. I've physically measured perfect rectangles, without obstructions above, and then compared them to Google Earths' measurements. Sadly the result fluctuates and can be high or low 6% +/- . That can hurt ya on a 20,000-square-foot octopus-shaped driveway (think rich people's driveway). Obviously 'things' under awnings, eaves, canopies, and decks can be seen via Google Earth. To this day I feel I can't come close to the exact square footage of driveways that are not square or rectangular (with my wheel, pad, and pencil).
