My son is in 2nd grade and he is learning how to use a ruler. So glad you made this video, he didn't understand it when I explained it to him. Now he gets it.
This video is perfect. Mostly when I'm doing custom box builds for desktop/server computer builds for clients and friends. They usually give out vague measurements mostly when accuracy is needed the most ex. such as width placements, corner measurements, rack drilled hole mounts and etc. They usually use over the counter rulers. So to solve that problem I usually show them a picture of my regular ruler with the hundredths 0 or 5 error measurement rule and I tell them the limits. In return they send me an accurate measurement of the builds. Extremely helpful thanks to the uploader.
Thank you so much for sharing this!!! I have learned so much! And as a card maker who gets inspiration from many different RU-vid videos, this helps so much to configure the items I need in CM as I have always been taught just IN. Well done! And I passed my test so your Definitely a fantastic teacher!
Do you have a pic or video showing what numbers all this lines are, hard for someone with a learning sisability to to follow video , with out all of the lines marked out
2.54 inches equals two and 35/64ths in "American" Imperial I believe. What does 2.54 cm equal if you cannot have point 54 when we are told one cm equals 2.54 inches...? the "error" part makes me think they are needing bigger "tolerances" when building or measuring something...?
I'm American and don't know how to read a tape measure with fractions. Metric though i understand very well. I wish Americans got with the metric like the rest of the world.
as an inch is 2.54 cm, it's 20 * 2.54cm = 50.8cm. Or you can just enter "20 inches in cm" in the top search bar of your search engine (when you're using Google) to get a result.
? You are referring to point milliseconds' how about 4 to 6? Appears to unacceptable...which area of expertise this applicable?you were just referring to a ruler.
Thankyouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu so very much thnxxx a ton fr explaining sch an important measurements thqqq sir srchd everywhere bt didn't found sch an easy explanation.Fully satisfied by ur explanation sir thq again 😊😊😊
Thank you so much! your video is very good your voice, your movement, the detail explanation and how you make us think. Thanks Now I can teach my 10 year old
you start measuring from the first tic line. That is zero. On most rulers there is a short space before the first tic line. This means that on most rulers you do not start measuring at the end edge of the ruler.
That is really helpful I learn something new today,I barely knew how to use a ruler just a little don't know it much, this video it's very explainable, it sad that I learn so quick of this 9:08 video then school it self couldn't taught me it was hard how to use a ruler, I didn't know how to measure things but this video taught me something,I thumbs up to this video and subscribe.
Greetings from Germany. I never heard of "cutting" the millimeters in half ( your example: 1,55 centimeter ) and didn´t learn this in school....I´m 41. Maybe it´s important for scientists?? Sorry for my english ;-)
professor just a question, suppose I were to draw a graph (lets say a line Graph) on scale 1:20 ,both of Axis (Vertical and Horizontal) have the interval of 50cm :50-100-150-200 the on my Data I have a point of 157 cm that I want to plot using my scale. How do I convert in order to plot? .
