Everything you say here is great, however I do have one addition to make. It should go without saying, but you'd be amazed how many foreigners (and visitors) here are clueless in this regard. And that is RESPECT. Always treat everyone you are dealing with respectively and honestly and you'll never have a problem making friends here.
