It's possible to map Rekordbox DJ functions to your DJ controller even if it doesn't have buttons for them. You do that using the Midi Mapping feature, and I'll show you how to do it in this lesson.

Can you guys please do a video showing third-party controllers such as Maschine, and making the pads light up when a hotcue is present, or unlit if it's not? Can't figure this out, but I know it's possible. Thank you!

Thank you for the video... I was wondering how do you change each specific effect in FX1 (for example) say I am playing a track and hit the on/off effect which I have chosen echo and it puts that track in echo.. How would I add a reverb effect as well so there are two effects playing at the same time in on the same deck? If you could let me know what u would greatly appreciate it! I am using the DDJ400 sir.

Your tutorial was focused on changing existing controls on the unit to different settings. What about connecting a separate controller like the Akai MPK49 or the Pioneer XP2? Is this possible? On Serato they give a list of all the units that are connected via USB and you can choose one. Is it the same with Rekordbox?

ive got a xdj rr but the load deck 1 and 2 buttons don't work due to damage from previous owner. is it possible to map these to different set of buttons instead of these two in order to use it in midi mode?

hi , i have an other problem with mapping, on my FLX4 the FX2 BEAT UP/DOWN ar not responding suddenly so i wanted to remap it becasue reset to default did not work, i tested the flx4 with midiOX and knob working fine. so when i deleted the FX2 beat up and down for remapping a message says that its already mapped to FX1 .i notest that the mapping name of fx2 was differnet than fx1 wil ther is only one knopg for this on the flx4 so how do i map fx1 and 2 to the same knob ?

Don't see any reason why they cannot be mapped, what is it you are stuck with?

Sooooo wish their was a map for the Mc3000 for RB. Works great with Mixvibes the parent of RB... Such a well built controller I hate not being able to use it with this software 😥

Hi nice tutorial. Can I do this midi map changes, to activate the samplers directly by pressing the beat jump button on the xdj xz . Without the shift button? I mean erasing the actions of beat jump and setting default to samplers?

Can you make a tutorial showing how to midi map the DDJ 200 to Serato DJ Pro PLEASE!!!! I just got ahold of this controller but I'm not having any luck on how to midi map the controller to the software. Or can I download a midi map to add to Serato?? I'm new to midi mapping

@@digitaldjtips I would greatly appreciate it if you guys can, there is no other videos explaining how to do that... Even if its for just the basic functions, I'm mainly looking to use this controller just for track prep, and preparing sets, etc. But if you guys can make even some of the more advanced features work that'll be pretty cool too! Ohh, and if possible attach the midi file so it can just be imported would also be really nice as well!

No, not to add an extra Midi controller to your existing Pioneer controller.

Generally the reason is that the mic is not wired via the software.

I midi mapped in rekordbox. But the mapped buttons dont work when I play through USB. Is there a way to make the mapped buttons work through USB? using XJD-RR. Thanks.

im having same problem.. the midi works the first few times while still in the editor.. even after saving exporting and importing the functions still dont work
