In the past (360 & One) i modded some controllers. aluminum sticks bullet buttons etc,etc ... sometimes such modds cause problems. not always, but it can happen. then i would never do it as long as the guarantee is still in effect, and after that it doesn't make any sense, because after 2 years the sticks are no longer so precise. if you want to do it, I would recommend not to use the transparent sticks. they turn brown and yellow very quickly and look ugly. at most the buttons because they are completely made of ABS plastic and do not change color from sweat / skin / and even faster if you smoke from the nicotine on your paws. :)

Thank you so much for the tutorial! It was a nightmare to assemble but I think it was worth it in the end, although the clear d-pad was deformed which made it so I couldn’t use the right button.

@@TechReviewsTV Im not sure if it was chipped or too big but when i put it in the socket all the buttons work and can press down except for the right d-pad button.

That tab is sealed down. There’s no way you got under it the same way you did with the other.

The battery contact ones?? They’re not fully sealed. You can do it just takes some time.

@@TechReviewsTV Positive contact was no problem. I wasn’t getting under that negative one. I had a soldering kit that I bought 5 years ago. I bought it to teach myself how to solder. I never soldered anything before.

Did you have to solder anything? Or use the black wire that came in the it for anything? Or did just slide the Silver prongs under the place where the battery connect work? Thank you so much in advance

No there’s two method you can choose to solder if you want or you can put the contact pins under the battery. Completely up to you

Be careful with the cables, there is black plastic caps on them and they are brittle asf, luckily the bit that’s soldered doesn’t come undone and they still press on even if the black cap breaks on me. Aka this happened to me well as rumbler cables came undone on me which I soldered back on.

Followed the steps exactly how its shown from extreme rates and now the D-Pad is unresponsive at times and the right trigger stopped working. I didn't solder either. Any advice?

I did it! It worked! But now my triggers are fucked lol… idk what happened before I left for work it was working fine! I come back and my RT is pressing down without me pressing anything… all my buttons and bumpers work fine so I’ma if can get it fixed. But thanks tho my controller has transparent shell so the leds look cool at night

It broke my controller I’ve used it for a week and it started glitching and then fully stopped and now my controller won’t turn on and the battery gets warm

@@TechReviewsTV no I took apart a lot of Xbox controllers and never broke one and when I put that in it killed one of the boards

@@TechReviewsTV so in the beginning the 2 black wires with small gold connectors that are connected in the back of the controller are as follows, left top, right bottom. But around the 8 minute mark when you put the wires back together it went as follows, top right, bottom left. Rewatch the first minute and a half and then watch from 7:30-8:00. Edit: these are the perfect time stamps, look at 3:15 and 7:45 and look at the small black wires positions.
