I know I’m a year late but this is genuinely a great video. I’ve watched Frankly Built and other RU-vidrs and still had questions, but you went over everything and I really appreciate the attention to detail. Definitely earned a sub from me. Darkwing Dad u rock dude, keep doin u 🤘
I printed a mark 6 helmet and got the crashworks boards and everything works great but when the servos loose tension after opening the faceplate the faceplate just falls back down.
The Battery you listed Miady 2-Pack 5000mAh Mini Portable Charger, Power Pack with 5V 2.4A USB Output, Power Bank. Does it stay on all the time with the mask or will it randomly shut off? Why i ask is because crashworks3D Now sells the boards with a Penelope board for the power banks not to shut off but i didn't buy it :( so i need a battery pack with Always On function and these are on sale :).
@@Darkwingdad Awsome thanks for the information I got the mini v6 luckily hahah just confused me because they sell that other board with it on there eBay.
@@Darkwingdad Awsome I really appreciate you getting back to me it’s my first time doing something like this, Thanks for making this video it helps alot.
I built two of these now and today i started to build a helmet using "samurais motorization Kit" it bassicly uses elastic band instead of those helper arms so its much easier to install. Just as a tip. (I haven't finished building mind Yet)
Amazing video, I recently bought an ALISHA MKE mini and when I activate the servos, instead of going up and down Accordingly it goes opposite directions resisting each other, I tried switching the plugs and the motors themselfs and it continues to do the same thing. Any tips?
@@Darkwingdad I’m going to install the switch in the jaw and wire it to a jst connector and then when I put on the jaw piece I can just plug it into the other end of the switch wire while the jaw is attached and just tuck in the wire.
Out of curiosity where do I find the correct magnetic reads which, also what would be the best way to extend it to another part of the suit (just extending it down to the arm)? if so What product would that be to extend it?
amzn.to/3EHJn7r I find these to work the best. All you have to do is extend the wire from the switch port on the board (2 wires) to each side of the reed switch
I have a question im building an iron man kit to but my servo works opposite from each other how can u fix this does the alisha board dix this problem and reverse one of the servos?
Is there a way to stop the usb power bank from turning off? I have it hardwired the same way you do and I don’t have a way to turn the powerbank back on unless I took off my helmet and pressed the power button..the power bank turns off after about 30 seconds and it’s the same one you have! If you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated!
Nice job. Not sure if people know this, but if you read the instructions for the board, the power isn't supposed to be connected via usb to the board. The power bank USB is supposed to be rewired for a just connector that fits into the power in port so the board doesn't fry out. Usually the usb is meant to upload the sketch from arduino only. You can also double with crashworks too
They recommend hardwiring which is mentioned in the video, not sure if using the usb would have altered effects. On the old boards I had it run through the usb & never had any problems but I supplied the hardwiring part in the video so it’s done to manufacturer standards.
