I got the DF Vision Neck Handle and to my surprise the piece that attaches to the Ronin was loose and could not be tightened. The L bracket is screwed to another small piece that attaches to the Ronin. It's that connection that was loose. I sent it back. The photo on the box did not have the same configuration as my description and what was inside. The connection I am speaking of was one solid piece.
Raffi Alexander that’s strange......you may have been sent the wrong part. My df handle is one solid piece that screws right into side of ronin with m42 screws, as shown in the video. Polar Pro makes an Awesome monitor Mount that id recommend over this now tho
Solid video Chad. The dji phone holder is too loose to mount on the side so I looked for a good video for alternatives. Your video provided some good ideas for me. I checked out your website - very cool. Will be following you from Connecticut.
David Eberhardt hey thanks for watching and checking out my site! I hope that the video gave you some ideas for more mounts on the ronin. I linked to another video in the description with more similar setups if you’re still researching options.
gen x tech guy yeah, it’s a great solid setup! The good thing is the SmallRig Monitor Mount has rubber on it and tightens down really firmly so it doesn’t really rotate at all.
What size is that Alan key to take off the m6 screws? Been looking everywhere because I got that df side handle but I can’t take off the screws and the rubber bit.
thanks for the mounting tips. I am currently researching options, prior to buying a Ronin S and Ninfa V. I noticed that mounting cages are sold for the ninja V, Can I mount it without purchasing one of these?
Hi. Does the Feelworld work when you try to connect your sony with the MCC cable? Because in my case the HDMI display stops working. I can only see the sony menu and gallery...
I haven't actually tried it with the MCC cable at the same time. But, I know that Sony cameras often cannot put out more than 1 signal at once, so it will make the screen go black. I'll have to test it out
Hey man! just came across this video ad just wanted to ask how long that hdmi cable is. is it the 3 foot one? just want to get the right size and not have to switch out/return
Hi, thanks for video! I am using Atomos Shinobi connected with hdmi to Sony A7III and Ronin S connected through multiport? (Default cable that came with gimbal). My issue is when I connect Ronin S to Sony A7III camera goes into "remote PC mode" that doesn't allow me to have HDMI signal on monitor. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Oleg Strekachev that’s an interesting issues I haven’t ran across yet. I’d go into the Sony menus under HDMI and see if you can turn any controls off. Turn of camera settings display so it’s a clean hdmi signal feed, etc,
@@chadwin When I turn on HDMI info. Display my Sony monitor goes blank and setting layout is visible on external monitor but with no video signal behind it. Do you have Ronin to camera and camera to ext monitor working at the same time with no issues?
Ferhan Khan Photography yeah, it tilts up a lot so you can see. Watch my other video on Monitor mounts for the Ronin S. Has a few more options. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PbErVjmQ5UE.html
Jared Abdul yeah, I totally forgot to show that in the video. Yes, your hand will touch the battery and it’s a tight space. But depending on how far you tilt the screen or what size NPF you use, it will be fine. I’m making a new video soon showing a few more ways to mount a monitor that I think are really great, maybe even better
63MacGuy yeah, the little frictions arms definitely are not my favorite. I usually try to avoid using them and use a more solid mount instead. But I have used friction arms on occasion when there was no better option available.
Joy Joy hmm...I said I really like the setup, but my favorite is actually the one with the side bracket. I actually filmed a NEW video tonight showing 2 more ways to mount a monitor to the Ronin s so keep an eye out for that video. These are even better ways IMO
@@chadwin On Amazon they sell setups already made and designed for the Ronin S that are close to or cheaper than 2 of the ways you showed us. It's $49, secure, and looks clean. www.amazon.com/PolarPro-Monitor-Mount-DJI-Ronin-S/dp/B07N7R9NXB/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=Monitor+ronin+s&qid=1561456745&s=gateway&sr=8-3
it should, but I actually recommend my updated video on this. Has 2 even better options I've found. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PbErVjmQ5UE.html
I'm using the screws that came with the smallrig monitor mount. Should work fine, you may have to adjust the position of the mount on the arm to get the right holes lined up or something.
JDC I typically use a 3 ft HDMI cable on any gimbal to give me enough slack for full movement. SmallHD ones are my favorite cause they’re so light and don’t pull on the motors
Mickey Zixn yeah it definitely is. I realized that it works much better on one shoulder and underslung under one arm and across the body. Hard to explain, but you wear the strap across your body and it works fantastic! No pulling on my neck at all.
