In this video Roger demonstrates how to mount and dismount a penny farthing. It highlights another key skill, how to turn in a small circle on one of these big wheels.
Front wheelie is certainly possible, there are some single side tricks and riding backwards etc. In the late 19th century there were people who specialised in doing performances on penny farthings in circus or fairgrounds. Here is a video of Harry Kramer from the 1950's doing front wheelie and other tricks: www.pinkbike.com/video/347812/

Yes, we have waited almost 4 years for the rims! That they are arriving in October seams really soon... but it is not 2 weeks time. It was quite exciting to hear that the first batch of rims are at the wheel builders this week in production.
It depends on what kind of distance you are moving them. For small distances they will fit in to most small vans although many riders use tow hitch mounts and extend them to put them on. For flying... we have a video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NZq2LZvcffA.htmlsi=ZrBDzuwiAYHxPFmc
