Wow I am going today and get me one of these for my crossbow. Thanks Rich I enjoyed this. I mean how cool was it that when I searched these cameras and found your voice and video? Sweet……….. (All Hail Bunjie) 🤙🏻
1. Dad shoes and socks. Classic. You could be my father from the knees down 2. The climber was my favorite part 3. Lovin 31 days of awesome 4. Thank you!
Enjoyed the video ... Loved the teaser of you working the climber... Continue building confidence in your climber... Once you become truly mobile, you will never regret it.
Jen bought 2 of the scope mounts you use. You obviously got it right because this is the best video we have gotten so far. If I can focus on keeping on the animal after the shot, we might actually get something worthwhile here
Hi Rich, as a long time friend of Bungie and a TACTACAM fan, I really enjoyed this video! My son Ron Jr, the IBM software sales rep helped me pair my new 5.0 to my I Phone, so one problem solved. My other model is the 4.0 and I think I'll put that on on the Picatinny rail. Might put the 5.0 on my Helmet Cam, but we shall see you on Saturday for the 2nd annual Meat & Great. Looking forward to sharing this special event with you and the team! Hoping for much better video and to joining the one shot club this year!
@@leveraction767 HI Lever Action, great name everybody's first deer rifle! Yes, I'm leaving tomorrow, checking into a hotel, and will be there on Saturday, bright and early. I hunted with Rich last year and we all had a great time. The Tropical storm knocked out our power for 4 days, and my freezer is empty! Need to remedy that fast! Look forward to meeting you.
@@boomerrangerron I watched you maybe 20 times on the video. :D Glad to hear you are going. I'm Marshall Robinson. I have lots of names.... None of which are my own.
@@leveraction767 Thanks for watching Marshall and I too look forward to meeting you and to the hunt! You'll have a great time, Rich is a super guy! He's done more for crossbow hunting than just about anybody on RU-vid or the crossbow specific magazines!
I’m a big fan of the tactacam, just know that sometimes you will have to update its software. Also they can be a little glitchy so I always turn mine on once before a hunt to make sure it’s ready to go (does it vibrate and start flashing). If it doesn’t record and just freezes then you can pull the battery and reinstall the he battery and that should reset it. Also the little piece that comes off of the tactacam mount is only meant to go on 1 way although it would probably work fine if it was upside down. Good video 👍
Also forgot, if u mount it there it will mess up using a shooting rail as its lower than the stock and in the excitement u will probably bang it on the rail(guess how I know). If u have to, go medium scope rings and a cheek riser so u can fit standard mount under scope which is what I did, or as someone mentioned rings with pikatinny rails on them. I believe any mount with 30mm rings fits camera a flip to side flashlight mount would make cam directly over the rail on xbow instead of below rail and in the way and u could find a qd mount in that style for easy on off
Excellent video. Love your informative vids. Life is a learning process that only ends at death. Good luck at the meat & greet wanted to be there but Covid 19 got in the way.
Rich if u wifi it to the phone control there's a option to flip the recording so the cam is upside down but video is correct, I also use to lower fps and/or resolution as light fades to get better lit video-- lower resolution but less pixelation.
I had bought a $90 camera for recording my 4 wheeler rides with hopes of also using it for hunting as well. I guess I’ll be looking into the cameras you are using! Filming on a budget though! Lol
So I’m not sure you’ll answer this but it’s worth a shot. I got the tactacam 5.0 last year for Christmas and took it out to make sure it worked and it did. Now for whatever reason the charging indicator light won’t shut off after hours and hours of charging. Tactacam sent me a new battery but still doing the same thing. It won’t hold a charge. Just wondering if anything like this has happened to you? I’m super bummed out considering deer season is upon us. I contacted tactacam and they said they are on backorder and pretty far out on any new ones coming in. Nonetheless I love the channel👍
Is it actually not holding a charge? Or is the light just not accurate. I swear I have one that never shows charged but is actually charging fine. I switched from charging the battery in the camera to a separate charging device from tactacam, charges 2 at a time, maybe look into that?
Thanks for the response. Yea man both batteries I have will only charge up for about a 15 min run time in the camera before it goes dead. It’s super confusing. I’m gonna ask them about the separate battery charger and see if that fixes it. It’s like they are only getting a slight charge after hours of charging.
I was browsing Amazon and they had several options of different stuff that comes with each selection which one did you select that has the picatanny rail mount..I don't want to order the wrong set up
I tried that with my old S5 phone, but it froze up and had to send it back to tactacam to have it fixed. not their fault at all; in fact, they were GREAT about it! But i'm a bit leary of trying it with my new phone lol. but yes, that's really the best way to do it!
@@Deathbybunjie Jen had to buy a $400 phone to get it to work. Not gonna happen again. I freaked out when I found out that was what was needed and it wasn't even my money!
So the mount on bunjie won’t work on bunjie junior? I’m trying to figure out what I need to mount to my mag 340 with overwatch scope which is like the tact 100
love the crossbow appreciation month concept. It is 105 degrees here in Oklahoma. Hard to think about deer hunting. Yet somehow I still manage! I am thinking of getting a tacticam but wonder if the head mount is a better option since I may be using a compound and, with either weapon I don't usually point the weapon until late. Your thoughts?
Does the cam ever focus on the limbs instead of the target? also...... with the zoom and offset... does it keep the target at 10 yds in shot the same as 60 yds... or do you ever have a convergence problem of camera aim vs bow aim?
So I mounted my Tactacam. It’s the solo one. I shot some today and found my arrows are now off to the right. Same side as the Tactacam. Did you have to re-zero after you installed it?
That comes from real world experience. You leave your batteries in the camera and you will get to your location with batteries that are half dead or just dead. It sucks.
@Steven Hicks I prefer scope but that's not doable on all rails if scope doesn't leave enough room. The other mount foe stirrup works really well though. GKW loves it!
@Steven Hicks it wasn't too easy for me to get a clear picture through it, but that was probably me. But I really don't care to see the scope reticles in my videos...I just like the plain video. Again just my preference.
Death by Bunjie Sorry for asking but I’m a little confused what the difference is between the rail and serving, and where I should not put the wax, Thanks
I don't but not a bad idea. It won't affect performance but might take getting used to depending on how you mount it. For me it's out of the way but something to consider, hope that helps
In the old days when it was mounted directly to the scope, I really worried about that. however, today, it's mounted to the rail below the scope, so it really never even touches the scope. Way better!
I want to hear about this remote that can be used with 1 or 2 cameras. I had a remote years ago and thats the only way to go. I didnt see anything on the tactacam site, for remotes.. Tell me more please!
Have you filmed through the tactacam attachment where it films through the scope and if not why not? That's something that I would like to try with my tactacam solo film through the scope
They are finicky. U really need to adjust it to get it focused unless u have a scope with side parallax adjustment. It doesn't work for me very often on scopes without parallax focus knob. It's a pain in the butt unless u leave it adjusted ( by moving the cam in and out of housing 4 focus) for one rifle scope and aren't moving it between weapons
I have that attachement and personally i don't like it. i intended to use to for tutorials, but it's tough to get a clear picture with it. I think if i spent time with it I could get it to work better, but not high on my list of priorities...I really like the standard tactacam image.
