I've been looking something like this for future build project a LC70 hard body..blue is a beautiful color:) in order to make it realistic and no cutting on bed need a cantilever kit..well done bro!
Will this work with the rc4wd 1987 toyota xtracab. Or do you know how i could do that. I just have been looking anywhere for information on this. Help would be appreciated
oh you mean the cantilever.. better cut the bed and put the normal suspension kit if you want a better performance.. cantilever is just for scale look. given the difference in articulation, I still prefer cutting the bed. otherwise wait until there will be stock again.
The mounts.. i have the LC70 body and a TRX4 do i need to install cantilever kit ? Does the mount kit itself is not high enough to clear the bed? Thanks!
there is a bit gap from body to chassis on rear about 3mm, on front u gonna modify it so it will sit low. if you dont want to cut a hole in the bed then use a cantilever.
mounts are sold separately but not really necessary as long as you know how to mount them securely, as for the bumpers you can only use a smaller tires if ur planning not to do so.
Another question, did you have to convert the chassis to 324mm with the traxxas wheelbase kit ? On the description of the xtra speed cantilever you recommended it said : “It fits TRX4 324mm. If want to fit 312 wheelbase need change to 70 mm shocks (not included )” So do I need to convert the wheelbase? I’m building the Trx4 chassis kit (not the sport kit). Both kits are listed online as 312mm.
Bro, I think TRX-4 kits are all 313mm (sport & a kit w/o a body), 324mm are the defender & tactical and those are not kits they are RTR. u can use the cantilever labeled for 313 & 324, you can even use the stock trx4 shocks.
plus it will depend on what LC70 killerbody you have, mine is a 313mm kit. if you have the 324 LC70 you dont need to convert the chassis already. like I said you can use the 313 or 324 cantilever it has adjustable links & you can use the stock trx4 shocks
Thanks for watching, yeah, sorry was not able to add that on the video, but its very much straight forward, the body had been modified & drilled for that specific body mount & sits perfectly.
@@RCHobbyfilms I understand. It's not much different then mounting other hard bodies with magnets. It seems much easier than the way RC4WD does it where you have to screw it on from the side panels below the doors.
@@RCHobbyfilms k thanks. Wondering whats the difference on your model and the lc70 made for the trx4? Looks like biggest difference is price 🤔? How was your experience ordering from Asiatees?
asiatees shipped fast like 3-5 days dependeng on what courier you choose. I think they have the other version of this body that comes with fenders and pre painted already. but im not sure if its 313mm.
@@RCHobbyfilms wow lol my newbie days...i have the brx01 now my man and the full cock pit interior with the lipo relocated to the rear bed in a vm battery box...tf2 xtra cab black build/currently doing a ssd trail king k10 as we speak ...im portal axle and 1.9 gone..leaf axles straight axles on 155 wheels and tires andn hardbodys are my cup of tea...
@@RCHobbyfilms you was a big inspiration coming to youtube and not knowing how to even put on a part or put grease in my axles let alone build..seeing you do your builds and always have the cool upgrades that i was clueless about like the cantileaver set up in rear to not cut holes in a hardbody man i can go on and on you was a big inspiration and that trx4 sport.killerbody lc70 video gave me the confidence to do my own...i was right there sport and all but i sen a brx01 in person..and sold the sport and switched up at the last second..thanks for in depth knowledge and always having a badass end result...your vids are top notch and ill forever be gratefull of the content you dropped man...
@@josecanseca8979 Sir, Im so happy to hear those, best example why I start the channel, not just to help the RC community but to inspire aswell. Im not a big creator as others but I enjoy what Im doing & I’ll continue to shoot videos & build trucks.. Thank You! 👊💯
Regular Joe Yes Sir! thats the issue of having the cantilever set up. I think the best option is mount the shocks towards the center chassis.(diagonaly)
@@RCHobbyfilms k. I just recently installed this and is finding out now! I installed a rubber hose to act as a bumpstop on the link. Definitely will have to try the diagonal setup similar to some monster truck. Do a video if you change your setup please!
I’m new to RC and wanted to know. If I buy the Traxxas TRX-4 Crawler Kit does everything you have in the description still work for me? Also, looks like the cantilever you have in the description is sold out. Do you need that or will you have to cut if you don’t have it? Is there a different place where I can get it?
ItsaM3xican12 Thanks for watching bro, Yes sir you can definitely use the Kit on this body since you will just need the chassis, you will just rebuild the whole chassis anyway (battery mounts and esc placements. Yap, I suggest you buy the cantilever, go check on rcmart, ebay if its available there. otherwise you will need to cut of the bed and make a hole so you can fit the other alternative shock mounts.
Its optional Sir, but if you dont want to cut a hole from the bed of the truck its better to use a cantilever or a smaller size suspension but to be mounted diagonally towards the chassis..
Yes sir, you need a battery kit to lower the battery case. you can check with other china brands in amazon/ebay.the one you send comes with a servo kit.
RC Hobbyfilms so, do you think that one I sent would work or not? Also, what should I look for if I’m buying a Chinese one. Is there specific dimensions it need to be? Thanks
RC Hobbyfilms thanks man! Thanks for the help. Just trying to get into the RC stuff. Can be pretty intimidating since I’ve never done anything even similar and since it’s not cheap I don’t want something that will just collect dust. Thanks for the help. Liked and subbed!
Yap, It is basically screwing those metal mounts with a ready holes from body. I did not use the screw to secure it from the chassis. What I did was to use a velcro that wraps around the metal mounts to the crossmember and front bumper mounts.
