Separating zippers work best for this but you still could use a regular zipper. Just be careful with the gluing.

Hi Emily, I used a paint sprayer and DecoArt Outdoor Living paint. Easy peasy! The paint sprayer really helped get in all the nooks and crannies of the wicker!

I did this a few years back and it works great for awhile. The staples ended up rusting and the plywood started to mildew. Nice & inexpensive fix though to get a an extra couple of seasons out of our patio furniture.

Great video! I love the way this turned out! Do you think this adhesive would be durable enough for a living room couch? I never learned how to use a sewing machine and wouldn't even know where to start, so this is my only option for custom cushions that won't cost a fortune! Thank you!

Thanks! Ps a long time ago I bought your big ass book of home decor and my I used it to furnish first my first apartment. It led my partner at the time to believe I was a crafty wizard (boy were they fooled)!
