Don't disassemble an OSC OSCar keyboard. I mean it. Really.
Yes, I did stab my thumb. Twice. Be happy it's not on camera.
If you absolutely HAVE to disassemble the keyboard, contact me, leave a comment or so, and if you really have to, I'll share my knowledge. But it really best if you don't.
As an additional note, I saw that Vintage Synth Parts list key springs for the OSCar, but those are different types of springs than mine, it may be that different OSCars come with different style keyboards, so check which ones your OSCar has first.
The Oxford Synthesizer Company OSCar is a nearly mythical monosynth used by Ultravox, Jean-Michel Jarre and many more, perhaps most famously it provided the synth bass line in "Do They Know It's Christmas?"
OSC manufactured less than a thousand of these, making them as rare as they are weird. This rarity, together with the unusual design, questionable build quality and the company's brief life means it is sometimes called "The DeLorean of Synths".
Repairing this one has taught me a lot about the OSCar, if you have one in need of repairs, do not hesitate to contact me for advice and help. It is NOT easy to repair, you need an expert.
