These training videos are exactly what is needed in the RU-vid gun space. Too many channels focus on the same thing….”let’s talk about grip”, “let’s review a gun”, etc. That stuff is so overplayed. Now, these real world training videos are super helpful and people need to watch these!
I think it’s because if someone needs to tell you to be aware of your surroundings in a world where crime is rampant then no amount of training is gonna keep you safe! You lack basic self preservation instincts. And eventually you’re gonna get got!😂😂😂😂
Absolutely one of the most significant training videos to date. I witnessed a young lady walk into a double parked Amazon van because she was on her phone looking down, not paying attention. then blamed the driver for not being in a parking space. Great information Romine.
When I got my conceal carry permit 2 years ago, I stopped listening to my phone while I do yard wark, out at the store, I pay attention to what's going on. My wife likes to sit in the garage when she comes home and talk on the phone with the garage door wide open and not paying attention. I keep telling her to stop doing that, but she just laughs at me. I hope she doesn't learn the hard way.
This is exactly what I’ve been trying to teach my wife and kids for years. Young people are so dependent on technology such as Google Maps and it makes them less aware of what’s going on around them. I honestly think the older you are, the more you had to rely on feeling and instinct and awareness. I’ve been going to work at 4 AM for 26 years in the same location. It’s very safe, but I never, ever get out of my truck without taking a quick look around. Being aware of your surroundings may not prevent you, getting jumped, but it will give you more time to react to it. Another good video my friend.
Speaking of transitional spaces I'm always high alert at gas stations. It could be day time and in a nice neighborhood. It doesn't matter. I literally drive where I can look at all the rows of the gas pumps. Just to make sure no one catches me slipping. One day I go to the gas station in morning right before rush hour. All the pumps are empty with no cars. As I'm driving checking all the pumps before I stop and get gas I noticed someone at one of the pumps acting like his tying his shoe but there is no car next to the pump and he has a mask on since it was during covid. I ended up getting gas from another station. Moral of the story try to do a sweep (driving around the station once to get an idea of where someone might be hiding) of the gas station and pay attention to the car wash and air machine as well if there is one at the gas station.
I do the exact same thing , then I realized criminals pay attention to the patterns and know exactly when to attack. I try not to even look at my phone outside as much anymore
See, that's why I watch your channel because you teach what I've been saying to friends and family for years. They think I'm being dramatic. It's too late to take these things into consideration in the middle of a situation. Your Channel is very important, thank you.
So happy I found this channel , becoming my favorite gun/defensive tactics/ training channels keep up the great content and thank you for this life saving knowledge. I sent this one to my girl
Just recently discovered your channel. Good stuff , I worked in L.E & I sent this to my adult daughters . Thank you. Also , nice city you have there , Nashville , been there several times as my daughter went to Belmont . Very clean with no signs of homeless camps or graffiti unlike the large PNW city I live near . It’s a shit hole . Keep those videos coming , earned a sub from me .
Great vid! And if you do have to sit in the car (such as if you're picking somebody up from work), keep the doors locked, so somebody can't just slide into the backseat.
Excellent video Romine. You’re doing a superb job at showing what everyone needs to work on. Also, great job at handling your own business regarding your personal encounter.
Another great demonstration. Most of us watching these kind of channels know these things. But you're the 1st to demonstrate it. Show 'n tell sticks with most folks. Great job! Simple & concise.
I learned this at 7 yrs old growing up in a very BAD neighborhood and also learned to watch people's body language, this is also important. I still look into my back seat of my car, just a habit now.
Love this channel. Alot talk about what to do but you are one of the few that goes over visual examples in real life situations and shows fails and wins. I still remember the video where someone breaks in a night and runs up the stairs. That was a very important one. I think another place ppl might forget, if someone is alone in the restroom, what to do. In any event great video. Keep em coming and hope this channels continues to grow~!
I remember seeing you in previous comments. Thanks for the support bro. We're up 2k subs over the past 8 days or so. It's growing. People will find it in due time. I'm just doing my thing and focusing on what I can control. Really appreciate the love bro.
Most people walk around like victims with headphones on looking in phones. I always run with one headphone in just loud enough to comprehend. You nailed it in this video. I also try to keep my dominant hand free and empty
My guy! Another excellent and very informative video. Situational awareness is paramount. I’m always looking forward to your videos. God bless and stay safe man
Great video. I would personally suggest staying off your phone until you are inside your destination or out of transitional spaces. You can't be fully aware if you are distracted. It also slows down your reaction time. Once in your vehicle. Lock your doors immediately and then start your vehicle and drive off. Head on a swivel and your dominate hand free. Not a criticism just a tip. Just subscribed btw!
ALWAYS back your vehicle into a parking space. You have everything in front of you and if they come from the rear, pull out. If they’re in front of you, pull out. Also; a quick walk around to check the away side, especially in car parks.
The tactics and life lessons you are giving out are life-saving. I am just eating it up. I am so glad I found this channel. Much respect for you. Real talk.
As I approach my truck, I am looking at it and what is near it. I get in, start, and move. I don't wait for the auto lock, I hit the lock button right as I start the engine. I affix my seatbelt on the move. No, I am not perfect... my bad... but I try to follow what you were talking about. .Good points, Y'all keep safe.
An army saying, yet, good advice. Did 4 deployments to go fight in Iraq ( I volunteered for all 4 tours and did 2 tours back-to-back )with the Texas Guard. My first tour was with an infantry unit at Camp TQ ( it was a Marine FOB ) that first tour we were doing combat missions for a year and 6 months.A long time huh ??? It went by-FAST. LOL. I volunteered to go to Iraq because I was bored with working 2 full time civilian jobs ( did this for 10 months ) and needed a challenge, something dangerous too. I was already in the Texas Guard,so,off I went to go fight in Iraq. LOL. My infantry unit did-GREAT-work fighting insurgents there tho, but,it wasn't a-CAKE-walk,they were tough and adapted to our tactics, even when we came-up with different tactics. BIG shout to all the Guard and RESERVE units that served in Iraq and Afghanistan. SEMPER-FI
You said at 1:30 that the "2nd one" looks more like food....when you meant the 1st one..the 1st scenario your head was down and you had no clue of your surroundings ...that was the lick
I was sitting in a parking garage just minding my business scrolling on my phone & this teenager came up to my window. Scared the shit out of me, he ended up only asking about the parking situation. But if he wanted to rob me he could’ve done so cause I wasn’t paying any attention
When I'm in a parking lot I always use the reflection from tinted windows on cars to see who is walking behind me. You can pay attention to what is in front of you but also have an idea of who is behind you/ trying to sneak up on you.
A guy gets out of his car and stirs at me and put his hands in his hoodie pouch and by the time he walks to me I already pulled my joint halfway out of my holster and he saw the move then started acting like he was looking for something on the ground then got back in his car and drove off Yeah every since then I always check my surroundings
What’s up bro! My 9 year old daughter and I are having an argument regarding your powers in this video. I’m trying to explain to her that you CLEARLY have the ability to change time from day to night instantaneously as you displayed @8:20 on this video. She’s a hater and saying it’s an edit and that u don’t have superpowers. Please clear this up for us! Peace! PS: she’s not actual hater 😂😂😂
Not too sound racist, but I work in an area where I’m the only one or just a few of us 😂 And I’m armed security but I always have a firearm working or not…. I am always aware of my surroundings and my head is on a swivel but certain people look at me like why is that guy looking around like that? Does he have a bomb on him? Is he bout to rob something 😂 I was literally told too my face that one early morning in a coffee shop that someone that had been seeing me finally felt comfortable to tell me that
Please keep up the good work on training. However, i have been going to live trainings, too. Another person can see what l am doing wrong and help me make corrections. Correct me if I am wrong, I assumed that you did not call 911, after you pulled out your gun on three guys? Thankfully, they ran away and you did not need to shoot. So, none of them guys, called the police and said some crazy guy pulled a gun on them for no reason? The reason that I am asking is because in the anti-gun areas, you will get locked up for brandishing a gun or aggravated assault, possibly a felony, in some areas.
Yeah I called it in after. Cop showed up 20 min later and said I did a good job but that they would never find the guys. I filed a report and he shook my hand. That was it.
What was the threat that was presented tho.... there's no shame in leaving the scene. Plus, 3 guys with only masks/ hoodies is gonna be difficult to justify presenting a firearm if they never even said anything R no contact was made. Maybe there was more to it than that 🤔
