When I first started breastfeeding I would snack on pop tarts or granola bars while baby ate and I thought “they always say sleep when the baby sleeps but also you should eat when the baby eats” and now that I’m back to work and pumping I eat while I pump

I hate pumping, my babies don’t latch and I know I gotta pump. They’re formula fed and I hate it. I just got sick and now my milk supply tanked because I haven’t been eating. This video is for me!

It wasn't the actual pumping that I hated so much, it was all tje extra time surrounding the pumping. I HATED the constant dishes. The absolute worst.

What I used to hate about pumping in the past is being stuck to a wall outlet and having those big flanges sticking off of me. That made it hard to care for my baby or other children. This time around, there are so many options. I'm debating between spectra 1 or the Ardo Alyssa and using cups. I like the trusted reputation of spectra and the vibration, whereas I like how much more small and cute the Ardo is. Just worried about how cups may impact the suction of both of these devices. I would love a video on this if you are interested.

I’ve been waiting for this video ever since you announced you were making it!!! When I was pregnant I spent so much time looking forward to the beautiful moments of breastfeeding my beautiful daughter. I was so ecstatic and my heart exploded with joy when she latched for the first time right after she was born. Slowly we went from nipple shield, to baby girl screaming bloody murder anytime I brought her to the b00b, to exclusively pumping. Sometimes I’m standing in my closet pumping when I finally got baby to sleep trying to stay positive but it’s hard not to feel resentment and feel like “why is my baby broken, why does something as natural as feeding my baby have to be so hard?” The resentment comes from the fact that caring for a newborn/feeding a newborn is already hard, but not having the convenience of feeding directly from the b00b just feels like cruel and unusual punishment. The only thing I hate more than pumping is the thought of my baby getting formula [when I am able to give her breastmilk.]

I do track all my output bc it ensures that I don’t lose track of how many pumps and reminds me that my supply is on the low end but I’m making just enough for my baby. I try little experiments from time to time to see if I can boost it even higher. Most importantly I do try to look back on the days when I was pumping just drops in the bottle or syringe feeding milk to my baby to now I’m averaging 2-4 oz every pump. My daughter overcame the “2020 virus” this month with very mild symptoms bc the milk I work so hard to give her gave her immune system the strength and warriors (antibodies) it needed ❤️

Omg, sooo hard to pump everytime. It's easier just to breastfeed, without all those breast pumps, bottles and ect.

Hi. Will you be making a review on Lansinoh Discreet Duo soon? My insurance will be covering it but since it just came out, I’m hesitant to purchase one. This is to be used as a secondary pump. I’m trying to decide between this new one or Freemie Rose. I don’t mind struggling with cables if it would be more dependable, has stronger suction and it has been tested well by other users, just in case I find myself relying more on my portable pump. Any advice you can give me is much appreciated. Thanks.

I asked them for one but probably not anytime soon, it’s kinda pricey on its own!

Yes. I try to use this time to read God's word. I have a hard time getting up in the morning depending on how baby and I night went. So when i sit down to pump, i try to pick up where i left off or finish writing my message. This be my goal. Of course it dont always go as planned.

Great encouragement. I’m 36 weeks with my third. My first was 10 years ago and I didn’t have guidance or support and pumping and breastfeeding made me cry. I was working full time and overtime. Second baby breastfeeding and Haakaa went well. I decreased work to full time. Now w third, I am hoping to use combo of breastfeeding, Haakaa and wearable pump. I’m older and wiser and the gratitude is there more so than being a younger momma… so now, I’m ready to tackle this challenge ahead of me. I feel grateful and appreciated all of your videos. And I will only be returning to part time. I think over time I have realized decreasing workload in postpartum is CRUCIAL for breastfeeding journey and stress/mental load.

I have no idea if I’m pumping correctly or efficiently. I have to exclusively pump in order to feed my baby. After pumping I don’t always feel like my breasts are fully emptied. I usually have to manually get the rest out whatever sprays/drops I can get. Sometimes half an ox to an oz more (combined) I use a 15mm flange. I would love to not have to pump so much. I always do 30mins. So it’s 3-4hrs of everyday My baby is 4 almost 5m. I’m 21 weeks pp My pump is Philips avent and I also use a momcozy M5 Would love some help troubleshooting to maximize my output.

I ebf and try to switch to exclusively pumping and I use spectra blue one and it’s taking forever to empty my breast 45 minutes to get everything out and I am thinking about Medela free style cup and baby buddha which one should I get?
@NewLittleLife
@NewLittleLife 3 месяца назад
It’s less likely an issue of getting a new pump and more likely an issue of becoming more efficient with your pumping! So I’m hesitant to recommend another pump because I’m not sure it’ll help 😕 the new baby Buddha is a nice option though! I’m liking it so far

Do you have any good ideas for snacks to prepare for after delivery? I know with my first son I was really hungry all night every time I woke up to nurse/pump and basically all I had were granola bars so I ate A LOT of granola bars. Do you have any ideas for prepared snacks that are good for nursing or just good to have ready for those late night nursing sessions?

Random question about breastfeeding after 1 year. I am a teacher with a part time contract, so I am able to continue to pump after 1 year as a working mom. But I have trouble finding information on how much I should be pumping after 1 year if my daughter continues to breastfeed at home. Do I still have to pump every 3ish hours if my daughter still breastfeeds? She not 1 yet, but it’s around the corner!

Depends on your milk supply and how often she continues to breastfeed I guess! It’s likely you could start to wean down if she does well on other foods or milk.

Do you have prices listed anywhere for your Pumping for Working Moms program? I've sunk so much money into my breastfeeding journey and still feel like I'll be limping across the finish line :(
