Ok heads up. The fight for sanctuary DLC has doubled this guy's health. (Vorac's health was doubled too). So atm I haven't figured out how to repeat this in the new patch without resetting for 5-6 grog stacks at once, which I have a feeling is the only way. So until then, if Maya can even 1 shot him on OP10 at all. I do think the OP8 strat in this video will work in NEW OP0, however that needs a norfleet so it's kind of irrelevant.
And yes, this DOES still work in OP0, lvl80. HOWEVER you need to use the method I use for the OP8 kill in this video (But with a PBFG instead). It's less consistent now and has a slightly longer setup, but technically still works. I beat this guy the long way with Salvador and even then it took forever. My gf played as Maya and she would bring me back everytime I go in FFYL. This took forever but i did it lol.
7 years playing B2, watching all the videos and reading all the guides... and this is the first time I've heard that turning off the BAR improves loot drops!?!

@@formerassassin This method doesn’t really work anymore anyway ever since the raid boss buffs. There’s still a very specific way to get it to work, but there are better ways to kill/farm raid bosses.
The Grog Nozzle has an effect known as the Grog state, in which you shoot 3 more pellets for decreased fire rate and weapon swaying. The effect procs/activates randomly when you hold the Grog Nozzle, swap to it, reload it or open and close the inventory with the Grog in your hand. It lasts for a few seconds. You can stack the effect multiple times.
@@MrEueu89 I commented this a year ago, but iirc after 2more hours of farming, I got it but still couldn't one shot. So, I bought my friend to salva pimpfleet it to death lol
I'm as Maya in lvl 33, I barely can damage 20% of each robot in this fight. I saw some people kill him in lvl 50 but I see no reason to kill him at that level if he gives you lvl 32 guns and stuffs.
Raid bosses are kinda useless to kill until you’re at UVHM because they don’t drop seraph crystals until then. They’re a fun little challenge on TVHM, but you really won’t get much gear from them- definitely not anything worth the trouble. Since you’re level 33, I imagine you’re at NVHM or early TVHM. Once you make the jump to TVHM, he will cap out at level 50 instead of level 30-something, but again, I don’t recommend doing these until you beat the main story in UVHM and get to max level. Raid bosses are meant to be endgame.
Also for anyone wondering (credits to joltzdude139 go check him out he's cool) to double shot, shoot and hold down the fire button, then reload then melee without letting go of the fire button.
@@LazyData I tried the jump kill too. But most of the time I did about 50% damage to his health. Sometimes 75%. I guess I can only beehawk to kill him with Maya.
@Mayan Ruins Why can't you kill Hyperius without fire hawk? I use non elemental hawk on him and kill him very easily. Stack the minions together with any singularity grenade, slag them with phaselock and then attack them with Topneaa (which u can easily farm for at Writhing Deep thanks to the new DLC). Once Hyperius' shield is down, beehawking him. Repeat the steps 2 or 3 times and he's dead. Do u miss The Bee shield? That would make the kill insanely hard.
@@tommyvega7237 Yeah defo need fire. Try farming a fire PBFG from the chest up top in Haderax's room. Difference between corrosive and fire is huge. Corrosive is 60% damage vs flesh and fire is 175% damage vs flesh.

Hi, double check to make sure you're getting every damage bonus that I show in the video: Fire PBFG Slag Immolate (+6 class mod) skills Drunk grog effect Bee Amp shield. Fire bone of the ancients relic Also if you respecced for the kill un equip and re equip your class mod. (There's a bug where bonus skills don't apply after respecc). Also what level are you? I have not yet attempted this kill at lvl 80 OP0, however 80 levels should not turn a 1 shot into 50% health.

@@playmobilbus The OP0 one is possible using the OP8 strat here. But OP10 i dont think so. I think i pinned a comment here linking my old guide on how to kill it. Since the OP 10 patch hyperius hp bugged out and doubled so one shot strats are much harder to do.

Apologies but I was wondering if I was doing something wrong since I have all times, the grog nozzle and the rocket launcher too, but can't get to kill hyperius. My rocket doesn't have the torgue grip and butt and my relic is only level 72, does that change anything?
@@playmobilbus Yeah those two things might be enough to prevent the kill. I highly recommend just following the guide with the sandhawk, its not as interesting but much less volatile. You'd be fine if the health bug didn't exist but hey, it's there.
I have a fire norfleet a 37% fire bone, the correct class mod and I was specd into the same things and I couldn’t get this to work. I could get him down to his health being at the S of the word hyperious on his health bar. His barrier came up and I could do the rest in time. At level 80. Any tips? I am specd into some harmony skills, could they be messing with immolate?
If any give passive health regen yes they'll break immolate. What launcher are you using and if you know, which parts does it have? I think I need to do some tests because Vorac got his health doubled in the update and apparently Hyperius may have gotten something too.
@@LazyData I think its a predacious norfleet, none of its parts are + or minus damage. I'm level 80 and its OP1. Its fire Element. Why on earth did they double Voracidous health, he's already the biggest bastard in the game. Jesus
Ok, Are you getting the drunk effect too? Because if so then they might have doubled this guy's health aswell. So in order to get the kill you'd need more drunk effects stacked or take the beehawking route :( And yeah, with the 1 damage novas already limiting the damage windows you get. With Ammo being as limited as it is in that fight. Doubling voracs health was a very silly thing to do.
@@LazyData Yes I'm sure of that as I have done it without the drunk effect and got no-where near. Have you done a video on drunk stacking? Cause I'm not sure how to do that. They may have raised his health as I've been finding it much trickier to do the normal route too.
You can easily farm it in the new dlc. Use the Toothpick and the Retainer in Haderax's lair to get to a hidden chest. It only drops rocket launchers of purple rarity or higher. Easy E-Tech. If you dont know where it is, there is some videos.
Am I missing something here? You're specifically saying that Immolate is the most important skill, but since you're not in FFYL, or have the Immo-glitch active, you should not be able to benefit from Immolate at all.
Silly me! The drunk effect, ofc! Haha! Even though they're fired at the same time, they don't necessarily hit at the exact same time. Got it! Great clip!
If you read it you'll notice it says "colorblind" in the text. Its just a display bug with the colorblind mode in this game. All items have this for me since colour blind mode was implemented.
