@@orchid570 And yet, one they couldn’t even get a handful of people to crank out a patch for. I mean, yeah, the FFS DLC was the last one for BL2 and most of the team was probably hard at work on BL3, but that was also the update that made the new level cap 80 + OP10. Certainly the issue isn’t that hard to address -- have any modders ever been able to patch his health to normal OP10 values yet or no? Legit question.
The philosophy of this kill is to conserve ammo whilst staying alive long enough to defeat Vorac. Some things that help with this are: 1. Grit. An extremely powerful skill which is boosted by my Ranger classmod. This gives me 40% chance to survive a killing blow. You can see at 3:15 this means I heal back enough health from Grit that I don't need to shoot my Harold to heal. This is very important because we need to save as much ammo as possible to be able to kill him. 2. Take advantage of Pressure skill and purposefully stay at low health in-between his novas so the Bee shield can recharge quicker. This obviously lets us do more damage per bullet which is also an important part of this kill. 3. Only using Pimpernel bullets when the drunk effect is active from the Grog Nozzle. This multiplies my pellets so therefore doing more damage per bullet. All this stuff sounds very petty but this is what you have to do against this boss because he has so so much health. 4. Use Survivor COM and Turtle shield. This is the method that GiantFly used to kill Vorac. This makes you basically invincible so that you can use an Avenger or Infection Cleaner to regenerate SMG ammo throughout the fight. This is very slow and not my style, but I did have them ready to use in case I did run completely out of ammo. However I'm very glad I didn't have to use this method in the end of this fight. 5. Luck. You need a lot of luck to kill him legit. I have 1 recording of where he gets stuck in a wall and I kill him but thought it was very boring. Everytime he gets stuck on my turrets or in a wall I had to restart. This is down to luck. There were also multiple times this fight where I easily could have died but Grit saves me. Again this is luck because I only have a 40% chance of surviving. I have many many clips where I have not survived which I am planning on sharing. Thank you for watching. Take care.
Hey man! Awesome killing, i love how you managed to do it the hard way, without trying to just one shot it before it gets hard with some off hand combo or stuff like this, huge respect, you definitely deserved a perfect matching grip practicable interfacer here, wish the game was granting you loot luck according to how much pain your fight was! xD I'v got some questions for you tho! First: i was wondering how did grit proc so much, but i guess you answered it, i just was so amazed while watching, i thought you had some grit boost cheat! :D Second: why do you use the shredifier? I mean, it's not so much of an ammo efficient weapon, its damage output is kind of weak, and you would have been taking more advantage of the bee with a leadstorm for exemple, right? Third: How does the survivor COM and Turtle shield combo works exactly? I heard of that already, but still don't really get it... I think i only managed to solo Voracidous once( did'nt try so much tho, this fight is just broken xD), and it was with Krieg, OP0 tho( OP 0 gear of course), but still needed some skil land luck combination. I mostly specialised in blood lust tree, and melee. The thing was basically to make a melee kill with rapier to trigger the kill skill allowing you to boost your grenade damage, then slag everything and throw a fastball in a supersonic midget's face and then pray for the chain reaction to work properly glad to the placement of the mobs. Can' tremember exactly what build i made for this nor how i managed the begining of the fight before chief and midgets spawns tho. I wich i recorded it, i was so proud! xD Was very satisfying to see this damn stalker blown apart when it succeed!
@@gaelracine5057 Hey man thanks for your comment. I will try my best to answer your questions. 1. His novas are very weird and hit you multiple times, but because of a mechanic called health gate, you can't get one shotted by it. Health gate means that any one hit by an enemy can never down you, no matter how much damage the attack deals. It will always leave you with around 1/3rd of your total health. After you get health gates to around 1/3rd of your health, there are a few frames after (Maybe 1 - 2 seconds) where you're invincible. This is a mechanic in the game to stop you getting one shotted by every enemy or Raid Boss. Without health gate this fight would be impossible. If I didn't have Grit, I would still survive one of his novas. But because I have Grit, the first 'hit' of the nova takes my health down, and then the next few hits (around the same frame) still hit me but can't kill me due to health gate, but Grit still procs because it counts as a deadly blow to Axton. Hope this makes sense. 2. Yes you're right Shredifier isn't very good, but it has a very high rate of fire which always works well with the Bee Shield. I need high rate of fire because my Bee shield is only up for a few seconds at a time, so need to get a lot of shots in per second. Lead Storm is great but would be hard to hit him with I think, although I did not try that. The Bekah would also be a good choice for this fight, probably even better than Shredifier, but I'm not going to redo this! 3. The COM and shield combos work because of the health gate mechanic as I mentioned earlier. You use a rubbish OP level turtle shield to lower your health to as close to 0 as possible, but not 0 (Otherwise any damage you take would instantly kill you). Then, the survivor COM regens this health instantly after getting health gated, because they have very high health regen. This means after getting health gated, and during the invincibility frames, you gain all your health back, and therefore can take another hit and be health gated again. And it just repeats and repeats and you basically can never die unless you get a DoT on you. For example, if you used a white OP10 turtle shield to make you have 300HP, and you had a survivor COM on with 50,000HP regen per second, you can see that as soon as you get hit you will be reduced to around 100HP (due to health gate). But then within less than a second you would regen all your health and be able to take another hit and get health gated again. Nice work killing him with Krieg and good luck with your future kills bro.
@@Doggaebi. Thanks a lot for your clear explanations man! Now i got a better understanding of health gate mechanics( i already knew about it, but it was'nt very clear how you could exploit it) 1.> I'm not sure if i correctly understand what you mean by this? What difference does it make for health gate on first hit with grit exactly? I understand why Grit seems to proc so often considering it also procs while you're saved because of health gate! Also now i see why i was getting OS by litterally ANYTHING recently when i started to try Gaige! I was lvl 72 with some lack of apropriate gear for her, and so i started with a hoplite shield, and i thought a good turtle shield could be great with "Blood soaked shield", but oh boy was i wrong! xD I probably managed to break health gate by running under 1 HP( i stil don't really understand, because when i equipped it i had some health left, but after my shield broke and got fullfilled again, i was 0 hp, prob have something to do with the 5% health consumming) and even the bullymongs simply landing on the ground after spawning from their nests, were one shoting me from a distance lmao! :D 2.> Ah yeah, i see! Makes sense. > Mh yeah, maybe, still wondering if damage output could'nt be greater still, maybe i'll try it by my self sooner or later! > Man! I wish tubbies were'nt so much of a pain in the butt to farm, never saw any of the second gen pearls drop in all my years of playing, only tried the casual carnage glad to gibbed when i switched from 360 to PC, then i dropped it because getting those the legit way is kind of one of my only goals left for playing the game, and it would feel very satisfying to get it legit way. Especially because i usually don't play in OP modes.
@@gaelracine5057 No worries bro. Yeah you have everything correct. And yes if you wear a Hoplite and your health is showing as 0 or 1, anything will kill you yes! Even the ground shaking from Bullymongs 😂 For the health gate thing yeah any level will work, but only Overpower level stuff will decrease your health enough because your health doesn't increase when you go up an OP level. But yes you have the right idea. You need lower health than the regen of your COM, then yes elemental resistance will prevent you dying from that DoT. As for Grit, it isn't doing much in this kill here it doesn't help with the novas really at all. Sometimes it will return some of your health during the novas. It's mainly for when he's chasing you and biting you that it might save your life. Thanks
@@Doggaebi. That's pretty dumb lmao, it's like anything had a trespasser effect, your shield capacity does'nt count anymore! x) Yeah i see, you need OP lvled turtle shield so... Except for Hoplite and Fabled Tortoise! xD But yeah, their slowing effect does'nt make it the best picks tho. I get the idea! Yeah, his chasing phase is the worst thing... Like this part of your "behind the scene" of Vorac kill where he just stucks you in a corner of the map.. R.I.P! xD
The only raidboss I'm still trying to solo. Vora is ridiculous once Chief dies. The novas are destructive, him charging you like a rabid stalker. He is king of raidbosses imo. You taking him down is impressive man!
Thanks bro. He is a huge pain to fight. You looked like you had fun killing him with your friends the other week, that's much more fun than doing it solo trust me!
At that rate, bro should drop a guaranteed God-roll weapon. No way any normal Joe is gonna spend half an hour for a couple greens and blues. That said, great stuff. I would not have had the patience or mental stamina to put up with that.
Grit for the win. This was an absolute beast of a fight and I loved it. Most solo Axton fights are just item manipulation but this is amazing. Great Job
Just got recommended this video and I have to say it was a thrill to watch, BL2 will always be one of the greatest games to have ever blessed our lives.

Holy shit gg man. Idk if I could put this much into a fight only to be left up to grits luck. As an axton main this is extremely impressive. Think i killed him once before op levels. Might had still been lvl 50. Good times.
Voracidous is the last boss i have left on Axton ive managaed to do every other one legit, my favourite was grenade Axton with the big boom blaster against master gee you take one acid pool and constantly get lots of grenades all the time so you can singularity and kills with the fastball I know you can instantly kill him I tested on a gibbed copy file, but i wanna do it legit the gear is just so long to get though especially the alkaline turtle shield with a good health, this video is a good guide on where to start. Feel like its been years and only now videos of this are popping up . Great job my guy
Nice work man I like your strategy for Gee. He's my favourite raid to kill. Vorac is a stupid boss my friend so I wouldn't feel bad about using any cheap strategies against him. His health is glitched at OP10 to a value that it shouldn't be, so use whatever you want. The only reason I did this video is because there was only one other person who had a video of Axton vs Vorac at the time, and his kill was like 40mins which I thought I could decrease. Thanks for your comment and take care.
@@Doggaebi. Yeah for awhile when I searched it up all that came up on Google was a Reddit post I made years ago . So it's good to see some content keep it up
The scaling fromop 8 to op10 looks insane,I did all the raid bosses on op8 but haven't since that last level cap increase..and after watching this I'm not sure I want to lol Solid fight man, props.
Nice… I tried doing what you do. I had the health gating thing all correct but the problem was that I didn’t have the time to kill cuz I’m busy a lot…. Soooooo i decided to make things more “Fair” since gearbox didn’t bother fixing this health glitch. I’ll make this story short… I went to “Fight For Sanctuary” DLC… went to “Dahl abandoned”… drove to where the toxic gas is that boosts your strength… got out of vehicle… got exposed to the toxin… Entered the vehicle without leaving the toxin area… now the toxin was with me where ever I go which means my damage was doubled as long as I didn’t die or quit… i went back to Voracidous and used the “Casual Flakker” and “Derp Ahab” exploit and took him out in 2 minutes…. I don’t consider it cheating cuz it’s Gearbox fault that they didn’t fix this… so I evened the Plainfield. His health was doubled so I doubled by damage… After that I just retired from the game and wiped out all my saved data cuz that MF haunted my mind. I figured if I couldn’t beat him then I wasn’t worthy to move on to BL3… now that I defeated him, I feel complete. Oh and I did it with Axton. Good video dude!
I tried this guy with zero back when op8 was the highest difficulty. I was able to survive long enough to b0re him down until the chief died, but never made it past that
People say zero take skill But low key axton is the single most skill dependent character in the whole game. He has almost no cheese abilities So everything comes down to gear and pure fucking skill.
The only raid boss I ever managed to kill was Terramorphus and back then I had no ideas about gear and builds, I just took the highest damage gun and hopped in and it went for like 30 mins with Gaige 😂
and this is why i will only ever use Salvador to kill Voracidous and farm Interfacers, any other character is a chore to use and its not even a fun fight
If you decide to play Inscryption, on a first bossfight you'll have a ptsd attack, because in the background it will constantly play the sound, that sounds like a grit going off 🙂
Wouldn't it be faster to shoot sandhank and switch to lady fist for 800% crit damage whenever you get the chance especially when bee shield is fully charged??? Anyone know? Or other slow moving projectile weapons?
@@Doggaebi. no no your right as you said this I remember he has a weird octagon horizontal hitbox right? You can see it in zeros deception but was just curious if even going for it and (occasionally) hitting it would speed up a kill even by 5 minutes but hey random question How fast could you kill him on OP9? AND hyperius? Bc he has glitched health too right? Always wonder why people don't drop down to OP9 to fight them instead of yk I have fought every boss at all levels even purposely uninstalling dlc to get to 50,61,72 to stop myself from leveling as well and actually have more than 1 second boring fights sometimes just like yourself. But never have fought OP10 voracidous legit or hyper with out meta melt strategies Also hey you responded fast glad to see you still active my friend you play on PC?!
@@animalicon3535 Yeah man I still play PC just have played Borderlands in a few months! Will play it again at some point of course 😊 I haven't fought him at OP9 ever so not sure. I don't usually fight him, I just wanted to kill him with Axton at OP10 because I've only ever seen one other person do it. Take care man thanks for your comments.
I feel like this kill could be faster if you used the Sawbar over the Shredifier for more dps, but it would also make the kill more risky since you would have to be closer to Vora to maximize its damage output. Maybe something to consider if you ever try this again
@@Doggaebi. the infection cleaner’s Betty shots deal physical, however I just learned that the explosion is still elemental. I doubt the bullets make much a difference so it’s probably fine
You can increase your dps greatly by min/maxing relics. I can appreciate the fact you aren't glitching but you can do better for sure. No hate from me tho, I know this kind of run can be a real pain. Movement and timing are great, min/maxing your gear can definitely improve your time if you want to go that route.
I really don't know man. It took a lot. I have a video showing some of the failed attempts which will show you what little it takes for him to kill you and for you to have to reset
Yes GiantFly did a while ago. Other than that I don't know anyone else who has with Axton. Loads of people have done Zer0 and Maya kills. And I think Gauge has been done.
@@coreyfaith69 Yeah man I know what you mean. Cris has lots of legit Maya kills of Vorac. There are loads of Melee Zer0 players who have done it too. And I've definitely seen someone do it with Gaige using Norfleet as well.
@@Doggaebi.I know you made this comment 10 months ago but I fucking burst into laughter when you called him a goblin, good video btw . You deffo gotta be one hardarse to take this guy on op10
