I have Mercedes S500, 2002. few days back my car keys got locked inside the trunk. I spent almost three days on youtube to find a solution but didn't find it.
In some groups I found some instructions but they were difficult to follow because the guys were mentioning that under the rear seat their is a switch which you have to remove and then try to open trunk button.
I spent lot of time in reaching to the right solution. As I have learnt it the hard way I don't want you guys to go through with the same hassle. for any comments or suggestions please write back to me at (ashar_hasan@yahoo.com)

Thank you for posting this video. 48hrs after locking my key fob in the trunk I came across your video. Just before I was about to pull the trigger on a mobile locksmith who quoted me $375, I gave your method a shot and on the first attempt POP!! goes the trunk. I owe you $375. ;)

u r a life saver...i was loading my car to go to Vegas and locked keys in trunk and the alarm was set...but i used your " back seat replace fuse" method and it worked thanks amigoi

Great video! Thank you for making this. This helped me open the trunk on my 2001 S500. My key had gotten wet and had stop working along with the trunk release button. After following the steps in this video my key fob is now working again! You never realize how important your trunk is until you can't use it!

👍the fuse pulling also works on a 2001. No unscrewing necessary! I pulled 5,11 and 19. I had to try different orders but it worked

There is an access panel to that fuse box located just below the seat cushion, you can access the fuses with out removing the seat.

under the carpet of right front seat, you will find battery connections, if you cannect it with the external battery it will work

You do know you can access that fuse area without pulling apart the back seat...?? Just remove the cover plate on foot space side wall under the seat pad. (no need to pull the seat or fusebox just the light cover plate)

Hi anyone have idea how to open the trunk on W211 E240 2006?My key got locked inside the trunk and the battery already dead.Tried to jump start using the jump start point,and yes other electrical parts working but not the trunk.The trunk button on driver's door and trunk latch wont open.almost give up to figure out how to open the trunk.hmmm.anyone can help to solve this issue?

Ne need to take whole seat apart. The feet light comes out and all fuses are behind of that . Easy access to remove and change blown fuse

I know this is old but just so you know to get to those rear fuses you don't have to take apart the car it's a panel with a light right in front of those fuses that pops off and gives you clear access to those fuses no tools needed

@@asharhasan75thanks to you I now have unlocked the trunk using the yellow fuse 😊… I didn’t need to take out the seat though … the footwell light under the seat pops off and you can see the fuses 😊… thanks for your video Ashar

If the battery is dead it will not work, but there is another way. Under the carpet of front seat there is main battery connection you can connect external battery either from there or there is another connection under the car

This is how you make an easy job a very hard job. You don't have to take the seat out, there is a cover beneath the seat and all you have to do is take the cover off and the fuses are right there. You think Mercedes doesn't want people to access those fuses?

Not really Davy....but there is another solution if battery is also dead. If you car door is open you can provide current from the main connection available right Infront of front passenger seat. If even doors are locked underneath the engine there is a connection available from where you can provide current. I have already sold the Merc otherwise I would have shown you that. But certainly you can search RU-vid for that

you did not have to take out the seat and removed the fuse box. You can get to the fuse form inside car at the passenger rear seat by the floor

This seems like such a common problem . It happened to me today in my 2013 C300 although I got the doors open the car went into safe mode (alarm goes off because it thinks someone's stealing it) so the trunk button will not work. I eventually just took the back seats off using some basic tools and reached into the trunk to grab them. Dealer said I would have to tow my car to the dealership and wait 3 days for a $600 key fob. FOH!

Hey just did the Same last night to my 300 :( but as soon as I got the keys it won't unlocked nor the key work to turn on my car.. did you have any problems after? Did the car locked for safety cus somebody tried to steal it? Idk any suggestions

Guys sorry for extremely late reply. but it is always better late then never thats why i am responding. If your battery is dead you can always connect your car with an external battery. if doors are opened you will find battery connections under the carpet of right front seat. If the doors are locked you need to some how go underneath the car remove plastic covers and find battery connections ( i have never tried)

Please don't smash the doors..... They are mercedes and this mercedes model has soft closing doors Assistent....... You will ruin the system in time and when you will try to sell the car you will say''soft doors not working''. I'll wonder why''' 😏
