@@aviationshorts451 Good idea but bare in mind that if your router/switch only support 100-1000Mbps then the Cat6 will be pointless. Cat5e is good enough, these Starlink dish max out at 1000Mbps

@@REALTEVINCARTER Not sure why I'm just now seeing this comment...but you don't have to invest in the commercial ones. Once you have a the right networking equipment, you can specify how much of your speed you want to sell. I'm currently doing it for a few communities.

@@mumz6639 Using an outdoor AP and some WISP routers. That's on the cheaper end. But you can get devices relatively affordable and start your own little WISP.

I ordered about 5 days ago but haven't received any shipping updates. I'm anxious for the service cause my digicel keeps acting up. I will definitely check back once it arrives.

I received notifications today (March 2nd) that my startlink has arrived at dhl Montego Bay, but it's on hold. I also ordered the ethernet adapter, but that has not arrived as yet. I'll go to DHL to pick up both once everything is there.

Great question, In order to get 2 ethernet connections you would HAVE to buy the adapter seen in the video and if you do not want to do it the way I did in the video by just pluging the cable from the starlink ethernet adapter into a wifi router, bare in mind with this way you would have another wifi along with the starlink wifi but you are going to have more ports available on that wifi router depending on the amount the router comes with or you can purchase a one of those good ethernet splitter from netgear or a comparable brand on amazon. this way you would not have a extra wifi however in my case the extra wifi was needed for both levels of my home. not sure if it would work for you but thats my best advice.

Great question. In order to purchase any additional products such as the Ethernet port dongle by Starlink you have to be able to login on the website which means you have to already had purchased the product. Once you have access to the website there is a section you can purchase it

Performance can drop but not drastically I had a 1 and 2 times where I have heavy heavy rain and that seemed to have bothered it which made cut off the Internet completely however I usually just do a restart (plug it out plug it in) and it’s usually back in a couple mins with no problem in the rain …..great question btw

no they did not, very simple process where you just pay the one price online and you just show your ID at DHL and you just sign and collect....hope it work out for you if you decide to starlink

Unfortunately the only way I know of getting the service is through the Starlink website. For now I don’t think there is a way to start the process here like that.

They are not to charge any custom tax because Elon Musk already have a deal with the government. This is why many who bought there's did not pay any.

I end up got mines 2 weeks later after I comment on your video. Set up running. I use mine maining for my camara system.

Hi @ssweethart, Great Great question and I'm happy to provide some info to the best of my knowledge, We are kinda in the same situation really I have no street address as well (ONLY A DISTRICT and PO BOX) what I think they is based on the address you put in when you are ordering they locate the closest DHL near you and work with them, now once it ships from america you will see a link on your starlink account which takes you to the DHL jamaica Website once your there you can select some options in terms of pick up and delivery, My experience was when it got here in jamaica DHL actually called me and asked if I want to pick it up or if I want to provide step by step instructions to how they can find my house and deliver it here. I dont live far from the DHL so I opted to pick it up, hope this helps and thanks for subscribing!

I am not sure of the deal between Starlink, DHL and Jamaica customs which allows them to ship it here with no extra cost so I’d try to get some more information but good question though I hope ur subscribed we on our way to 1000 !!
