I've got boring folder icons in my Bookmark Bar, like you have Math and Science folders. Is it possible to customize these folders to show different icons?

Thank you! I am pretty computer literate but bookmarks have always been the curse of my existence; they wind up in sub-folders that they have nothing to do with, etc. This will resolve all the mystery for me - many thanks for this.

This is good. Subscribed. I don't mind the little arrows. But I'd like to know how to organize the drop down sites under the arrows into latest at the top to earliest at the bottom. For some reason the order got switched recently.

good vclip, l already had organised my bookmarks, with folders but the 'edit' part of the address 'thks' is there anyway to find out if you have repeated sites bookmarked?

What i canme to find and I didn't was, how to remove a folder that somehow appear wwere in your screan is "Reading List"; on that exact place where "Reading List" is, I have "All Markers" or "All bookmarks" if I translate it right. When I click on it, it shows the websites I have saved, likes does that you are organizing in this video. it's so anoying to have that up there. I prefer to see teh simbols ">>" ^can you understand what I mean?

I watched this and it was very good and explained well. I did know some of it, but you explained well, I am glad I watched. But I was looking for more Chrome Topics. Because I never stayed logged into Chrome, but saved my favorites. So I set something to stay logged in when I close it, and lost all my favorites and bookmarks. Do you have a topic about that? damn, i have a problem... since my bookmark list is so so so long like 5 times the length of the screen it doesnt allow me to have a space to open a folder and when i do its at the bottow of my list, therefore, it doesnt allow me to move the links into the folders like you do in your video unfortunately. When i move the link it just goes below or above the folder instead. Any suggestions pls.

If you already have a really lot of folders in "Other bookmarks" and they've been added to the bottom of the list, or in the middle, how can you get them all moved to the top in alphabetical order without having to drag them one by one.

I put my bookmarks bar in the order I want them and when I start up my computer they are all in alphabetical order and not the way I arranged them. How do I stop this from happening?

But how to organize them alphabetically later if I have a bunch of them. Or if you try to open 4 nesting folders it could switch to another place. How do you manage it?

You can go into the bookmark manager in the upper right corner and arrange from there.

Very helpful for those unfamiliar with adding folders to the toolbar. However, with dark mode enabled, a line of those yellow folders across the toolbar is unsightly aesthetically and distracting because of their brightness. You would think browser designers could come up with a way for to color coat these ugly yellow folders by now.

Is there not a way to automatically SORT all bookmarks by most recently visited? Also is there a way to sort to have the bookmark folders appear at the top without manually dragging them into place?

You can always click on the 3 dots in the top right corner of the toolbar, go to Bookmarks--> Bookmark manager, then rearrange your folders and websites as you see fit. I do not think there is an automatic sort function, however.

This was my question also. Used to be that the bookmarks automatically sorted the most recently visited sites at the top, and down in chronological order. Now it's reversed. Not liking this.

Got this question. Let's say that you have a lot of music in your music folder. Normally, If i want to hear the next song and the next song and so, I would have to go back to the folder and click on the next song....is there a way that I can have this done automatically without me going back and selecting the next song?

It really depends on what format your links are in the music folder. Are they links to RU-vid music videos? Give me a little more context...

@@MrCooksCorner For example, I have 20 songs in one bookmark. I want to hear all 20 automatically...meaning that it will play all the songs, one at a time,, without me having to click on the next song. Is that possible in chrome?

It's a big mystery to me why when dragging and dropping a bookmark within a bookmark folder, the dropdown of folder contents closes when the bookmark is dropped. Then you have to wind your way back to that folder if you want to move another bookmark. In Firefox, the dropdown of folder contents remains open. Don't Chrome's developers use Chrome? Good grief. It's such an annoying aspect of bookmark management in Chrome.

So this has been bugging me for a decade more or less! My Point is that we have so much realestate now on our screens is that why does the archaic 'Bookmarks Bar' Have to stay in a bar , up top!?!? I'm getting on a bit now but ....WTF Google.....Did you leave us behind or what!?! I have a Shi......t Load of Multiple monitors with wide screen and you still limit your default 'Bookkarks' Bar to one skinny feck'in line!!! Where the feck has the development been to your browser?!?!?! It completly Sucks !!!!

I want to remove the folder icons from my bookmark bar and just have the names of the folders and links. I know you can get rid of the titles and just have icons, but I want to do the opposite-anyone know how?
