Oh that was indeed very interesting, Jeeyoon! I liked the scale fingering chart that sits on keyboard. Very cool! The flat key signature dice looks like a fun thing to use at a lesson too 😀. I’m guessing the sharp key signature dice was perhaps sitting next to it. I was sad to learn when Vandall passed away a few years ago. He had such an interesting, contemporary style of writing. I love your music library, very impressive! I understand about not being minimalistic with music collections. I don’t actually know how much music is in the 3 large filing cabinets downstairs. Much repertoire from mom, her sisters gifts and mine all together....but nicely organized for quick reference - most of the time. Haha! Selfie stick was a great idea and hopefully good arm saver 😅. Thanks for the library tour!

I have so many teaching goodies, I might have to share some more about it. I don't use it a whole lot now that I don't have many young students but I still use it with adult. And they love it. Yes there are green flat key signature dice next to the flat. Selfie stick was a saver for that video. 😅 i'm sure we have a lot of overlap library of repertoire for teaching. Oh I also like William Gillock.

Very interesting to see how much you collected and how you organised it. Was glad to see you’re also interested in improving other aspects like becoming a better teacher and psychology related books :) thanks for sharing!

OMG - due to the camera perspective (and my general lack of observation), I didn't realise that was a miniature toy piano at first! What a nice present. Anyway, the 'Play it again' book by Alan Rusbridger is a diary of his attempt to learn the Chopin Ballade No 1 and all the frustrations and revelations that come with it. I found it to be a really enjoyable read. 👍

Ha ha ha, the camera perspective could fool you. That's really good to know about the book. I remember someone recommended it highly but I forgot why. Now I am actually interested in reading finally. Thank you!

I was wondering if you might have some study repertoire books by Jeanine Yeager, who I lives near me, and who I learned after meeting her, is a widely published instructional repertoire composer. I wasn't expecting you to have things like jazz real books. Do you also do and teach jazz performance and improvisation? I shouldn't be surprised that you have multiple pianos there for teaching. I'd like to hear more of the stories behind the teddy bears, and if your pianos each have a story, those as well.

I think I have several books by her in a publication of Kjo. Or several arrangement by her as well. That's kind a cool that you live near her. I took just lessons in the hope of understanding it better, so at least I can give an introduction to a jazz or simply goofying around for improvisation with myself or with a student. ;) those teddy bears are cute, huh? Will save some stories for later

Hi Jeeyoon, I enjoy watching your RU-vid channel. Thank you for sharing your your experience and thought. It’s really inspired me a lot. I am very interested in your teaching materials especially for the scale fingering rhythm chart. Where did you get this? Thank you 😊

How wonderful to hear that, Iris! You must play piano or teach piano also? 😉That scale chart is called “Nate’s Piano Plates”

Jeeyoon Kim, pianist Hi Jeeyoon, thank you for giving me this information. Yes, you are right. I am teaching and playing piano. Because of raising my kids and teaching piano, I don’t have time to play piano. Watching your RU-vid channel inspires me to keep practicing. Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
