Nearly half of people will find themselves in an abusive relationship at some point in their lives.
But many people don’t even recognize they are in abuse. Others have a hard time removing
themselves from an abusive relationship. And still others struggle to recover and heal. Family
attorney, Certified Domestic Abuse Professional, and award-winning author Charlene Quint
gives us the tools to go from victim to victorious and informs us how to overcome domestic
abuse so that you can become the strong, whole, victorious person you were meant to be. Charlene Quint is a family attorney, founder of AbuseCare.org, and facilitator of nationwide support groups for victims of domestic abuse. Her passion is to help women escape domestic abuse and become the strong, whole, victorious women they were designed to be and educate community organizations to support victims of domestic abuse. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Thank you, Charlene, for delivering a powerful talk designed to empower anyone who is a victim of domestic abuse. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I really appreciate how you covered ALL kinds of abuse, including spiritual abuse. This kind of abuse keeps victims "really" bound to their abusers because of the shame and stigma associated with "going against one's religious beliefs or spiritual practices." And, thank you for providing a path of HEALING AND HOPE!
