Nice progress!! It is such an intimidating thing to start, but once you get the feeling for it there is nothing like it! I just started riding a couple of months ago and am still scared all of the time, but it’s also SO exciting and fun to learn😊 Cool video!

Everyone should start on a dirt bike, (trails OHV parks) not only sharpen your skills, but you don’t have the stress of cars around you.. once you are comfortable enough go get the street bike

It is a really solid option. You will want to upgrade in the future, but trust me you’ll have fun with this while you learn!

Cool vlog man! Appreciate hearing all that. About to get my first bike - excited but yeah, occasionally the thoughts creep in of the level of danger and what “could” happen. I’m 47, but like you, have wanted to get a bike since I was probably high school age. Now that I can afford to drop cash on one, there’s also the realization of life passing by, and no better time to take the plunge than now… Appreciate your content so far - cool to hear the perspective of someone who has recently started their riding journey. when you approaching a red light or stop sign do you have to down shift to 1st everytime?

You would want to downshift to first or second when coming to a complete stop so you can have all your torque available to get back going with ease. You can either do it as you are approaching the light or you can do it when you already have came to a stop and are waiting to go again.

@@RoamMoto Heck yeah lol I just recently re-brought my Z125 pro after trading it for my iron 883... Don't get me wrong I love both bikes but something about the 125cc bikes brings a smile on my face every time I rip through the gears on them :)

@@RoamMoto Another thing you'll have to watch out when moving up in bike is the insurance cost.... liter bike full coverage can get pretty insane lol

I am 5’9 as well and I have no problem flat-footing this bike. I also believe the R3 is one of the best choices to start on! You’re on the right track man!
