How to Override Your Chevrolet Dome Light - Don Hattan Chevrolet

Some weeks ago, I purchased a 2020 Chevy Express passenger van and had since then had been trying to configure the vehicle to turn on the dome lights when I shut the vehicle off. I'd just about given up and thought my vehicle lacked that feature till I ran into this video. You saved the day! Such a simple, quick video from a decade ago but useful even today in 2021. That button is seriously inconspicuous - I didn't even know that was a button till this video! I thought it was just a label for the twist knob that is there.

My acadia dome lights stayed on I pushed it on and off But this dawn light won't turn off any ideas or a solution

My Impala dome lights come on when I hit bumps too hard. I would have to play with the buttons for a while to get them off! Anyone have a quick solution for this??

Doesn’t work for my ’13 Avalanche. The front dome light stays on regardless of any/all button selections. The rear cab light works with the switches. But the front dome light will never go off while driving. It only turns off after the vehicle has sat for an hour. Then once restarted the cycle resumes, the ft. dome light never goes out. I’ve adjusted everything?🤔

But but. My dome light is on. I just drove home from vacation. How do I then it off?

on my 2011 chevy traverse, the secret was making sure the dom light button was not pressed in, and turned left all way. Not simply pressing it.

So I own a 2016 traverse ,I'm at the drive in trying to figure out why I can't get the lights in the car to turn off ,I had to have the key in ignition so the radio could be on to hear the movie. Finally I said forget it Googled it and this video popped up, found the button pushed it and walla lights out.......thx for posting this needed it in a time of crisis.....lol

I have a 2019 Chevy savana and your system just doesn't work with this van. I'm guessing this van is a flood victim of some sort because the lights stay on forever. If I'm out of the vehicle and have even the back doors open the cabin lights stay on and I have recently just took out the light bulb because I am so tired of the b*******. I just want to listen to the radio and I can see all of the lights on all f****** day. Driving me nuts. Anyway your video didn't do a damn thing for me but it's definitely not your fault that my van is a piece of s***
